Big Bang Butterflies - Insight by Terence McKenna

In the [url=[flash=425,344]http://youtube.com/v/0CtBdVaChKo&fs=1&autoplay=1[/flash]t=420]lecture[/url] I was listening to - 7 minutes in - Terence shared how he could not think of a scenario with gradual evolutionary process leading to the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly .. it had to happen instantaneious ... and thats when I by chance hit the play button on this [url=[flash=425,344]http://www.youtube.com/v/VySRWjnl0YE&fs=1&autoplay=1[/flash]t=2176]video[/url] (36:17), and heard him say .. loud and clear:

"Which is the Big Bang"

This mix definately stroke a cord in me. What do you think? .. is there a connection, and what might it be?

(serious answers please, although I do realize alot of good (and bad) jokes could be made of this)
