Wilbur Ross violates federal law; perjures himself before congress * 1
    #25878111 -

Wilbur Ross, Trump's U.S. Secretary of Commerce, violated the Enumeration Clause and lied about it to congress; he illegally added a citizenship question to the 2020 census, and then lied under oath about filing all the legally required paperwork with congress to have the question added to the census. He further claimed that his actions were at the behest of the U.S. Justice Department---another fabrication.  It was in fact Trump's Administration that pushed the DOJ to add the citizenship question to the 2020 census.  The concern is that many immigrants will, as a result, be reluctant to respond to the census.  The outcome of this action will manipulate federal funding and result in political redistricting.  Trump's Administration, as well as the DOJ, claim the question is necessary to prove one's "right to vote," as if there is a massive wave of voter fraud.  No doubt Trump's pride is still hurt due to losing the popular vote.  Furthermore, by adding the citizenship question to the 2020 census, it will give Republicans more political power through erroneous means.

In my opinion, the only large-scale fraud that has taken place -- and will continue to take place -- is gerrymandering, voter suppression, and election fraud committed on the behalf of political candidates to benefit themselves.

Matt Whitaker also perjured himself. So did Michael Cohen. Everyone trump associates with is a liar.

What's sad is we continually have to fight them on the same issues that shouldn't even exist: voter suppression, gerrymandering, and election fraud.  We're putting a lot of our focus into these issues just to have the ability to have our votes counted, but in the process we get distracted from focusing on the qualities we would like to see in our candidates, and sometimes we wind up choosing the lesser of two evils (which isn't always the ideal choice just because it's lesser).  The corruption in this country is so blatantly obvious, yet people in power pretend like they can't see what's going on.  People like Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Tlaib, Khanna and Sanders have been doing a wonderful job at exposing the corruption.  I would like to see more done about it, however.  Everyone acts shocked at the corruption exposed and then nothing happens as a result.

What "voter suppression" and "election fraud"?

Also, how do we get an accurate census without counting for undocumented people living in the US?

Two words answer both those questions:

North Carolina

Let's discuss what has occurred recently at the state levels: North Carolina and Georgia.  I will assume you know what I am referring to.

We can get an accurate census of undocumented people living in the U.S. through public records---we don't need to ask about citizenship on a census.

I thought undocumented people wouldn't be in "public records".

If they were in "public records", why wouldn't they fill out the census?

Nah, a billionaire wouldn't waste his time with that pursuit.  But I see where you were going with that.

If you decide to acknowledge facts, I will continue to have a discussion with you Q.  Get serious for once.

That's why I'm asking questions. Which facts should I acknowledge on this issue?

That the North Carolina voter ID law was struck down as racist voter suppression and the North Carolina 9th House Race was invalidated due to election fraud. That would be a start.

Surprisingly, many people are oblivious that they can be monitored through public records, much less legal immigrants being asked about their citizenship on a census.  Yes, even legal immigrants don't want to answer that question.

Do you want to instead discuss Wilbur Ross violating federal law and perjuring himself?  You avoided that right off the bat.  You also pivoted away from the topic of voter suppression, election fraud, and gerrymandering.  Both Koods and I addressed North Carolina.  I can make it easy for you by presenting questions in a "yes/no" format.  Would that help?

Is gerrymandering real?  Yes or no?

Koods, he knows that.  Typical pivot from Q when things get uncomfortable for him.  It's difficult to have a conversation with someone who doesn't even acknowledge facts.

OK, that's good to know.

To be honest, I didn't follow those voter issues in NC or Georgia, so it's all new to me.

I think Ross is a POS, so those actions wouldn't really surprise me at all. If he got charged with a crime, it would make my day.

Fifth arrest made in 9th congressional district election fraud investigation

Quote:
A fifth person has been arrested in the 9th congressional district election fraud investigation, according to North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

Rebecca D. Thompson turned herself in to authorities at the Bladen County Sheriff's Office on Thursday evening.

Thompson has been charged with conspiracy to commit felonious obstruction of justice and possession of absentee ballot.

Tonia Marie Gordon and Matthew Monroe Mathis were arrested last week in connection with the investigation.

Caitlyn Croom was also arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit felony obstruction of justice and possession of absentee ballot.

Leslie McCrae Dowless, the political operative at the center of the investigation, was arrested on Feb. 27 on criminal charges about activities in the 2016 elections and the Republican primary in 2018.

Dowless faces charges of three counts felonious obstruction of justice, two counts of conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice and two counts of possession of absentee ballots.

According to testimony and other findings detailed at an election board hearing last week, Dowless conducted an illegal "ballot harvesting" operation. He and his assistants are accused of gathering up absentee ballots from voters by offering to put them in the mail.

He was working on behalf of Republican candidate Mark Harris, who had a slim lead in the vote count before the investigation.

Fair enough.  I will give you the benefit of the doubt.  The point is this, what Wilbur Ross has done will further exacerbate voter suppression (and cause other problems for citizens).  But like Ecsatic kind of alluded to, the rich fuck that Ross is will allow him to get away with the crime mostly unscathed.  He certainly won't do any jail time for violating the Enumeration clause or for perjuring himself before congress.  And this is all in the name of fighting voter fraud, according to the Trump Administration, which most of us know is not an epidemic at all.  Maybe 30 or fewer people commit voter fraud nationwide each year.

The question one should ask themselves: If voter fraud is not a big issue, what is the real agenda behind what these rich pricks are trying to push for in an illegal manner?  And why do they lie about it to congress?  I feel as though I have already answered these questions.
