Toliet paper is very important in our lives, obviously! :grin:

I think it was Gary Snyder who once commented upon toilet paper (it is somewhere in The Dharma Bums) saying that he thought it was funny how nobody used water to wipe their bums after finishing up. Everybody is so concerned with being clean and proper, and they are all walking around with little bits of poo on their bums!

Seriously just take your shower head and give it a quick rinse when you are finished... that'll save toliet paper!

Actually, I think it's my pissing rather then shitting that is using up the toilet paper. I have an incredibly small bladder and I *think* I pee more then the average person. Plus I drink alot of water and tea, so that makes me pee even more. It's really annoying. But at least I'm well-hydrated.

well that would work or you could go around stealing toilet paper from restaurants and other places and stock pile off them

however i question one the morals involved and two were you to get caught it would be a very akward situation

man i dont see how tis possible to use that much TP. I dont and i just tkae the damn roll and yank it then roll what came off over my hand and wipe. But i only shit like once a day if that.

Because of a tiolet paper discussion in my house I looked this thread up.

this is the issue:
On my floor live 3 people. One of them is me and there's 2 other girls. Now we all buy a new pack when it's our turn but I've noticed that the 3 of us use a roll per day! I definately don't use 1/3 roll a day so i said I'm not participating anymore in the tiolet paper thing. It's not that it's expensive, but it's about principles.

You shoud really invest in a bidet...They make models that will go on a toilet so you dont have to chip up the floor to add another drain.

It may be pricey but in the end(bad pun sorry) you'll love it


I have this one in our master bathroom, we didn't want to make extra room for a seperate bidet.

:lol: I so agree. I hate that kind of tp that leave "dust" all over, it drives me crazy! I buy mine in bulk at costco, it is the thin kind that doesn't dust your ass with teeny pieces of fluffy paper. I have a lot of people in and out of my house all the time so it doesn't last forever, but I try not to use a ton. I have to remember it came from trees and try to conserve. I do make sure to keep everything nice and clean though! :smile:
