First, There are hunts all year.

Further, one or two deer is enough for an entire winter.

Second, farming crops for canning/root cellar and raising livestock brings in a shit load of food!

Eggs, chicken, pigs, etc.

Not where I live , as far as I  know there is only one zone you can take 2 deer in ca .  Every really good area of the state and every no general season hunt  is a lottery tag draw  . All I said was 100 acres isn’t enough to hunt year after  year . Regular pressure will drive all of the game off of it .
Your farming activities could do that too all on their own .

Im not trying to argue with you guys. I really wanted a civil discussion. I agree with a lot of your points I just also think it could be tweaked somewhat to make it better for all of us.

Not a single reasonable person is going to disagree on the point that the system needs revision. But I think you’re vastly over estimate 1) the number of people who abuse the system, and 2) the cost of many of these programs. Food assistance for example overwhelmingly feeds children and elderly. Both fairly helpless at least on some sense. Hard to complain about that.

You were already proven wrong about this.

Please learn from the discussions you're having; otherwise you don't look too bright.

It was just explained to you that Joe Blow doesn't pay more for the Green New Deal.  Millionaires and Billionaires do.

"Millionaires and billionaires will pay," is a lie. Bernie even admits that all people will pay more taxes.

I have this on video.

You're probably talking about Medicare for all (I don't know, you forgot to post the video).  Income taxes would go up for everyone by 2.2%, health insurance costs would go down by even more so the bottom 95% comes out ahead.

Bernie openly admits raising taxes on all. This isn't new.

The fact that I have shown this to you many times and you refuse to acknowledge basic facts has me thinking you don't really care or you are lying on behalf of Bernie to make his deals look better.

This isn't opinion either -- this is fact found in text and on video footage.

When you deny this fact, you come off as a liar, imo.

Here, let me do the research for your own candidate...

But Sanders, going where few politicians dare, would also raise taxes on middle- and low-income families, with those in the dead center of the income spectrum facing a $4,700 tax increase. That would reduce their after-tax incomes by 8.5 percent, the report said.

https://www.politico.com/story/2016/03/bernie-sanders-tax-increases-220267

“We will raise taxes,” the Vermont Senator told a crowd at the CNN Democratic town hall this week. “Yes, we will.”

https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timeinc.net/time/4194179/bernie-sanders-tax-plan

In an analysis released today, the Tax Foundation, an independent tax policy research organization, found that Sanders’ plan would lead to 10.56% lower after-tax income for all taxpayers, and a 17.91% lower after-tax income for the wealthiest Americans. When accounting for reduced GDP, taxpayers would see their after-tax incomes fall by 12.84% on average, the report said.

What are you trying to argue?

That skewed incentives under socialism can make people give up the will to earn more money. That there are ways to cheat the system -- especially going in to it.

The green new deal or Sander's plan is not current policy. Despite wealth disparity, the current system still offers incentives  to get ahead, minus welfare cliffs that skew the incentives.

Making it easier to rely on the government for everything is a dangerous idea.

Sanders?

qman gets it:

What do you think income inequality means for the country? Tell me how you feel on the subject.

The growing wealth and income inequality destroys the fabric of the nation. This is what happens when big money takes over government. The ultimate goal of capitalists is to create debt slaves out of the peasants and thus far its been mission accomplished.

There is no turning around this ship in my opinion, there is no driving to a voting booth to fix it. As the debt in the system continues to grow, the worse it's going to get for the peasants.

The next goal is to cut off the peasants from the current social services, it's inevitable.

The mighty Asante backs him up. Now that is some true Mashihi-spirit. Finding common ground.

Fox says Bernie can do it:

Could Sanders beat Trump in 2020? Yes

What do you think Bernie is going to do if he gets elected?  Even better question: what will congress allow him to do?

Nothing will change the status quo-nothing.

I love this dialogue.

im totally down with trading in 2.2% on my taxes for cheaper or no cost health insurance. I like how XUL failes to acknowledge that falcon admitted taxes would go up. he just skips to his next talking point without acknowledging he was wrong, as if he never tried to call falcon out on a lie that never happened. very Orwellian. very trumpish...

Many don't realize it, but Socialism exists in America. You just have to choose to live in "poverty" and the government will subsidize the rest. The problem is, people choose to get a job, a car, and purchase other luxuries that bump them into the hands of the capitalists. But, if you want to have nicer things without learning how to budget and live within your means, well, then you fall into the other American trap of easy loans, credit cards, and debt.

Is this one of those “socialism is anytime the government does things” arguments? Social safety nets aren’t socialism. There’s a reason it’s called the safety net. The government has to give workers money and housing and food and healthcare, and fill the void that capitalism has created.

Just once I want someone on the internet to analyze socialism whilst simultaneously understanding what it is.

Name one example of social ownership of the means of production in the United States.
