Well, first post here, so let me start of with a hello to all of you.

Okay, so as some might have guessed, I am a bit of a noob with psychedelics, or drugs in general. 3 weeks ago the closest thing to this stuff that I did experience was being drunk once and tipsy like 2 times.

That changed a bit. Three weeks ago I did truffles with someone I barely knew, her first time as well. (If someone is interested in the full story I can type the whole thing, but can't be bothered rn) So I got there and we did some, she initially planned to do them on her own, so we both had a mild portion (don't know which strain or something, but not a particularly strong one) we both took 7.5 grams. I went in without expectations, but it was like nothing I've ever experienced before, mainly visuals, had my eyes closed for most of the trip, since the visuals were a lot less intense and/or beautiful with my eyes open. Afterwards I did have a headache for a couple of days, like not bothersome or painful, just noticeable.

Two weeks later we went for trip number two, same girl, she bought 30 grams of Hollandia. (we found that that was the strongest strain, don't know if that's 100% true since some sites list another one as the strongest, I believe Atlantis or something, can't be bothered to look it up) We started with 7.5 grams each, one and a half hour later she was dancing, singing and everything, she was having a great time, I was not taking off so to speak, I was still with both feet on the ground, so she was kind and gave me a larger share of the second bag, I think I had like 18g in total, but except for intense open eyed visuals and feeling a bit different (idk how to describe it, and closed eye visuals were less interesting the second time) not much happened, which was a bit disappointing, since I did have some expectations after the first time. But ah well. No headache afterwards this time, my friend did, she had quite a bad headache for 3 days or something.

So those were my two experiences with truffles, now let's get to some other things I've noticed about myself after the first time. Like a week after the first trip I noticed that I was happier, not like I was laughing all the time, but more when I wasn't doing much, sitting in the bus omw home for example, I was in a noticeably better mood than normal. I am not depressed or anything, but still, I found this interesting, so I thought that it might have to do with those truffles, so I went to Google, and what did I find, long term positive effect on mood or something, well, I like it lel. But I'm not 100% certain that the truffles caused it, because other recent events, which I am still processing, might have caused it instead. (Not really relevant to the story, but if someone is curious, I can explain this as well, but to give a hint, it has to do with me finally living life and girls😂)
Something else I've noticed is that even though it's not addictive from what I've read (done my research beforehand), I feel my mind craving it sometimes, which feels like a bit of a bad omen, but I don't know what to make of it.

(Oh and like almost a week ago I was impulsive and ordered 75g of hollandia)



Okay, let's finally get to the questions.

I want to take another bag this Friday, alone this time, at home, but I still live with my parents, so I'll do it at night, but well, I don't feel like staying awake until 3am or something, so how do I increase the intensity and decrease the duration of the truffles? I've read something about putting them in a sour drink or making tea with them, but the tea is a bit impractical (due to me still living with me mum n dad)

How much (hollandia) truffles is a heroic dose? Because after that bag I'll have 60g left, and I plan to go do more truffles with that same girl again in 3 weeks. Would 30g be plenty or should I go for 45? (One bag for her, so max 45) I am a bit on the heavier side (about 90-95kg) and the 18g felt like I was still miles from where I want to go. (I want to feel that ego disillusion and stuff, because during the second trip especially, I kept checking in on myself (character trait), I couldn't let myself fully go, I want to remove that barrier)

And finally, which other psychedelics are great and intense? I've gotten a taste, and I really enjoy this stuff, so I want to experiment and explore this stuff, so any recommendations are welcome!

When I went to 'dam I tried the hollandia truffles too, hearing they were the most intense, got two 15g boxes, and honestly it was disappointing. Trip intensity felt like 3g dried cubes.
In regards to other pyschedelics, I'd say you've got to try LSD. To me mushrooms feel like LSD with training wheels, obviously that's quite a broad statement, but I would say they are very similar with a few distinct differences. LSD makes me feel way more buzzed as opposed to mushrooms feeling kind of sedative and colour contrast I find to be much greater on LSD.

Hmmm, I suppose I should down 3 bags then lel. And yeah, LSD is definitely on my list, but not yet. And regarding to the buzz, I've obviously never experienced LSD, but I love the relaxed state due to truffles, clears my mind.

Sclerotia potency can be extremely variable. 'Hollandia' does have a good reputation for being potent but it's not an actual species or sub-species; more like a product name. Potency varies due to genetics but is also affected by cultivation time (older stones should be more potent). I believe sclerotia is normally cloned for commercial production but the potency varies more than you might expect. A name like 'hollandia' is not trademarked so anyone can sell anything and call it that; it really depends on the supplier as much as anything. If you are getting the same product from the same source then hopefully it should be relatively consistent.

A 'standard' dose for sclerotia is 15g. If you can get noticeable effects off 7.5g (like your first trip) then the potency is pretty good. On your second trip, possibly the potency was lower, but also the time delay between your 2 doses means they won't have had the same impact as eating 18g in one go.

Effect on mood - I think it's quite common to get an afterglow effect in the next week or two.

I think this is just a result of having a great experience and wanting to do it again. You can become obsessed with mushrooms but not addicted to them...

If tea is not an option you could investigate 'lemon tek' (do a search of this forum) which I think basically involves soaking in lemon juice, although I don't know how well this works with truffles...

Be careful not to go too far too soon. Your trip with 18g may have been disappointing but the effects ramp up very sharply as you increase the dose, so 30g may feel like a different world. 45g is likely to be excessive; with a decent potency this kind of dose is like starting world war three in your head.

30g is likely to be getting into 'heroic' territory, but bear in mind that these kind of trips can be extremely intense and difficult to cope with (it can feel like a heroic achievement to endure the experience and come out the other side). A heavy trip can be very rewarding but it can really put you through the grinder before you get to the euphoric stages.

Accurate dosage advice for truffles is very hard as it's highly dependent on potency. Your upcoming 15g trip will give you a chance to test this. In my experience, if 15g gives a moderate, relaxed trip with some interesting closed-eye visuals then 30g of the same stuff will be fairly wild. If 15g feels challenging then 30g is likely to be terrifying! If 15g is 'meh' you can be a bit more relaxed about trying a higher dose. 30g is not a ridiculous amount but if the potency is good it will come on strong with a fair bit of power behind it.

I'm not trying to be dramatic for the sake of it, but when I started tripping regularly I had plenty of trips where I took a bit too much and got more than I bargained for. The feeling of impending doom, as you realize just how strong the trip is going to be, is not pleasant; the intensity is incredible and the insanity is off the charts.

If you do end up in a trip thinking 'oh fuck this is too much' then just sit or lie down quietly and ride the trip as best you can, don't try and control your thoughts, don't feel that you need to 'do something', just wait for the trip to calm down and let yourself sink into it even if it feels hostile. Once you reach the peak and the trip stops accelerating you are likely to start enjoying yourself and think 'wow, I feel great now, this is actually really cool'. Keep a sense of humour; sometimes the trip feels like DOOM but you end up laughing because it's so ridiculous.

I've learned the hard way to be cautious about sclerotia dosage and my normal method of tripping is to split my intended dose 50/50 if I'm taking 30g+ in total. I usually redose after 90 mins (waiting longer results in tolerance build up) but if the first dose is 'meh' then I'll redose after 60 mins if I can't really feel anything much by then.

Truffles can go a bit 'off' if they are out of a fridge and sweating in a plastic bag for that long. I'm not sure the best way to keep them (e.g. they can be dried) but it might be something to research.

It's normal to get introspective and have rambling thoughts, shifting emotions especially during the onset of the trip. The trip doesn't need to be *particularly* strong to 'let go' and flow with it - on a moderate dose you might find that the closed-eye-visuals become more elaborate and start to 'pull you in' as though you are falling asleep. It might feel slightly alarming (like you feel you need to stay awake) but if you can lie back and let this take over you can float within the trip in a dreamy state for a minute or two (it may seem like much longer!) and come back to your senses feeling much more 'in tune' with the vibe of the trip.

Hmm, I suppose so, hopefully it was just a less potent batch, I'll see.
And on the mood, it definitely lasts at least 2 weeks for me, so that's nice, I'll probably find out how long it really lasts when I leave more than two weeks in-between trips.

Ahh, so that's what lemon tek is, saw it being mentioned a couple times, but didn't know what it was and didn't bother to look it up.

Ww3? Nice analogy hahaha, but I get what you're saying. I'll find out how potent these are in a couple days, if 15g already does quite a bit, I should not go further than 30. I don't mind a strong dose tho, so if 15 doesn't do much I'll go higher, but maybe not 45, I'll see.

And on the bad trip part, I will only take them when I feel good, I know it's temporary and just in my head, and if it's needed there are people I can rely on to get me through it.

On the store page it said that they could be kept for 2-3 months in a fridge, so I suppose 4 weeks in a dark and dry place at room temperature, I think at least, I'll see.

I don't mean it like that, I mean that I always check on myself, and I still did that when tripping, like every X minutes I would pull myself back to reality, idk how I can describe it better, but that didn't enhance the experience. I was completely relaxed and okay with what was happening n stuff, but I still couldn't let myself fully go.


But I'll definitely enjoy Friday, I'll type a report if someone is interested.

Okay they may be a bit off.
Took them at 21:15, couldn't be bothered to get lemon juice or something, so I ate them normally, and they tasted worse than previously, almost threw up lol. Didn't have a completely empty stomach, had dinner 2hrs before that. But that didn't seem to be a problem since I started to see and feel the effects like 20 minutes after ingestion, quite intense. I was just laying on my couch in my room, eyes closed, enjoying the visuals, with some music playing. (rock/metal, thought that it might not be the best choice, but I enjoyed it, so no problem with that)
I panicked a bit when the music was cutting out, like driving in a tunnel, white noise and then silence. But that was just Spotify being retarded.
I put on headphones when people started going to bed, first with music, then I turned off the music but kept them on, just laying on bed in silence. At that point the effects quickly faded. That was about 2 hours after taking them, within 5 minutes it went from visuals and shit to just feeling fuzzy and afterglow. I did feel one wave like half an hour later, the visuals coming back for a couple minutes. The afterglow lasted for a couple more hours. (mainly feeling a bit heavy on the chest and in my arms and legs, plus still not feeling sober mentally and shadows were still a bit wavey)
While actually tripping I felt like I had to move my hands and feet, at some points they were shaking, kinda odd.

And the day after (today) I got a stomachache and a headache, but both are manageable.

Yeahh I'm quite sure that the truffles are a bit spoiled, they lasted quite short and the stomachache is probably a result of them being spoiled as well, at least, I think so.

Lessons learned, don't keep them at room temperature for more than a couple days, and imo tripping is more comfortable with company. Although this definitely isn't the last time that I'll be tripping alone, with someone else with you it's just a bit more comfortable, calming, reassuring, that kind of stuff, plus, I felt myself thinking too much, which I did less so with company, which was nice, I don't want to think while tripping, I want to go with it, but I'll have to learn how I suppose.

I get this sometimes when the dose isn't strong enough - the trip starts off OK but then fades out early just as things are getting interesting. If the stones are a little bit 'off' that might have affected the potency, I don't know. Anyway you can try a higher dose next time...

Reminds of trips where I'm like "Oh my God I just paused reality!!! Oh wait, no, I just hit the wrong button on the player.."

Stomach ache might be from them being a bit spoiled - a headache after tripping can sometimes be from not drinking enough water. During the comedown I try and make sure I drink water, usually have some snacks too.

I usually trip alone; I like to have a good music playlist going with the tracks chosen to try and create the right mood.

I often find the comeup of the trip is a bit edgy with a lot of over-thinking and some mental discomfort, but once I reach the peak or get into the trip a bit more, it flows a lot better and the mood becomes much more relaxed and euphoric. You might find that once you reach the right dose, the trip settles at a level which allows you to 'go with it' better.

Yeah was planning 30 next time, but I should probably order fresh ones for that, if they're already a bit bad rn, then it won't be better in two weeks

I had plenty of water before, some during, and some more afterwards, so I don't think that that's the reason, had it after the first trip as well, a bit less intense, but it's already less now, and the stomachache is nearly gone as well.

With the thinking I mean the regular sober way of thinking I suppose. Like when something crosses my mind I think about it, and that still happened, and I don't want that, idk how else I can explain it😅.
I suppose a higher dose might do the trick, hope so.

Now I gotta think what I should do with the spoiled truffles, I don't think that taking them in two weeks is a good idea, and tossing them is so wasteful since I still have 60g (I was enthusiastic and impulsive when I bought them) anybody got an idea what I could do with them?
