STAL. They've both got special places in my heart. I don't think it's fair to force one to choose.

I think I read somewhere that even when we're very young, both of these ends of the taste spectrum are incredibly attractive to us.

Refined sugar is pretty evil stuff though, I avoid.

I have no desire for sweet foods at all, but salty foods are a different story.

Wow that was a surprising poll. I’m sure we are inclined to gravitate towards salt because it’s an electrolyte. While sugar is just sugar. I even thought “salt” too. It just sounds more delicious as sugar sounds like I ate too much cake.

If you say salty or sweet I choose sweet, but I would never choose sugar because I destroyed my body with it.

My weapons of choice for sweetness are Xylitol and Neotame.

STAL

Both. Gotta be some good quality salt though, can't be that bullshit table salt.

Same goes for sugar, though I don't eat too many sources of sugar besides dark chocolate.

Chocolate

I prefer all my sugars from fruit, personally, although a couple of heaps of dark brown, unrefined muscovado goes a long way in a double espresso.

Also, proper flakes of sea salt. Anything less is poppycock.

There is a girl in my class who adds sugar to her soft drinks. She's 100% well on her way to being diabetic.

EDIT: and to be on topic, I chose sugar. I love salty stuff, but if you gave me a choice between some hot fried stuff and a box of donuts, Imma tear those donuts up.

I would have chosen sugar not to long ago, but it has made me very unhealthy but as a recent faster since october I have come to crave it less and less, I still have half a box of kitkats sitting in my cupboard, that would never have happened before

salt on the other hand is a great electrolyte, plus I like salted potato chips better then flavoured chips

Switched to pink Himalayan rock salt a few months ago. Havent looked back

Second choice is French Sel de Guerande (traditionally harvested sea salt)
