I have nothing to do and hopped up on lots of caffeine...because i thought i was going to work today.  Sorry  :blush:

To try and revive the discussion of toilet paper, I use Angel Soft double roll.  It's alright, but that crap that my job has is pure crap that I hate to use.

The two of us use maybe a roll a month. How can you possible spend that much toilet paper??? Do you use it for other things, like as a hand towel etc.?

We use the cheap stuff and oh boy does it suck at first, but it eventually gets bareable. Ya'll ever heard the trick on the shitters survival kit, It consists of one piece of toilet paper; what you do is fold it in half then half once again then tear a small piece of the corner as to allow your finger to fit through the middle of the one square, after you've suscessfully wiped the ass you take the remaining piece and clean the shit from underneath your fingernails.

WTF is wrong with you people.  "Cottonelle"?  "Charmin"?  "Silky whatever"??? 
TRIPLE PLY??  i personaly HATE thick, soft, towel density TP.  But thats personal opinion, so i'll stick to technicality.

You are wiping your ass ok.  You are not wiping your 'sensitive' face, you are not cleaning a wound, you are wiping SHIT.  Off your ASSHOLE.  (am i being crude yet?)  This irks me to no end.  Some people on this planet think a toilet is for 'rich' people, and you need triple ply 'cottonelle'?

I've had some cheap TP before, and yeah, its pretty bad. (no perferations, so you rip where you want, it went from 1 ply to 3 ply in the course of one roll, and in between there were creases and such....it came in a plain cardboard box.) 
So, some conclusions:

-single ply is the money saver, and lasts forever. Why do you think high traffic industries (such as movie theathers) have those huge rolls? I had one large roll last 2 of us litteraly 2 weeks minimum. And the other person uses a lot.  Just fold a bit more.

-Triple ply is a waste. I dont care who you are. When i come across it, even i waste, and i try to be efficient with these things. Its hard NOT to.

-Triple ply lasts 2 seconds because the damn paper is so thick, that entire roll is done in 2 spins.

-cheap brand, 2 ply, 24 roll 6 bux......sissy brand, 3ply, 12 roll, 8 bucks.  Do the math.

So, the most efficient thing to do?
Buy 'no name brand' TP, such as 'equality' or whatever. Every large chain has their own 'brand' of cheap TP. This stuff is 2 ply, and is good enough.  When you get to wiping, FOLD, dont 'scrunch'.  I find that mostly the girls 'scrunch'. I dont see how this works, as you waste a shitload, and the surface area of the wiping isnt that great anyway.  (but im a guy, so logic reigns.....im sure girls dont think about making ass wiping more efficient all day) :lol:

I find that girls do a lot of this too........treating the TP as if it was a fishing rod or something. They grab the end with one hand, and pull away at the roll with the other to full arms reach, even letting it roll a little so the TP sags a bit down. This is usualy followed by the scrunching.  I should coin a term for this annoying habit.  "swing and scrunch"  How does that sound.

Try this. With the cheapy 2 ply, take about a foot's worth, and fold it up (2 times), this should give you a  rectangle of squarish sorts.  Now wipe away.  If youre really into saving, fold that shit in half, and wipe again. :lol:

There is my rant. 

Stop buying stupid expensive towels to wipe your ass with please.  I'm starting to feel almost deserving for the attacks by these angry leaf using terrorists.  :shake:

If the toilet paper issue is really hurting your budget or you need to keep costs down then find cheap recycled toilet paper but if this is not the case and your just trying to keep the use down.........then i say forget it just keep on a using. Its just toilet paper...i mean use all u need but however if what i stated earlier is true then get new toilet paper

anyway.... my dad works for a papermill and they make the store-brand TP and papertowels. they have cases upon cases of that stuff up their attic. When I need TP and paper towels i don't goto the store. I just go pick up a fuckin case of it from my dad.

Nah, I don't think thats it because whenever he's home, we're always together.

Like I said, it's probably my fault.  I'll probably start buying the X-brand of toilet paper though, and maybe it'll last longer.  I also can't believe this thread has lasted as long as it has!  :cool:
