I wouldn't trust spore LC, or even just LC from experience tbh. Looks like your furst jars are healthy. Are you not using a SAB?

lc is fine if you are careful and know what you are doing. spores to lc is a bad idea though. i just streaked a bunch of plates with spores from a vendor syringe and these are the results as it stands



Suffice it to say, ms syringes from trusted vendors are not always clean. Out of all those cultures only the plates marked F are not heavily bacterial. This is exactly why we don't do spore LC's

wow that sucks dude... thats alot of bacteria. maybe try injecting a couple drops under the agar? hopefully the bacteria stays down there and the mycelium makes its way to the surface :shrug:

Interesting idea. I'm more of the "get my money back and free replacement syringes" kind of guy though.

tru dat :thumbup: id be pissed if i got syringes like that too. thats why i havnt bought a syringe in 3 years. i trust prints from people on here more than a syringe.

BUT, i was thinking about getting a syringe of ps cyans soon if i cant find a print on here..

My spore syringes from my choice vendor are usually always clean AF. One drop, one plate.

Its easier to get a syringe and start a random project, and trial and error yourself. A lot harder to get on here and get a print. Took about a month to get a print on here, and I still can't in most caces. I have to have so many posts, so many ratings. I understand the illegality of it, but I want to learn and grow. Plus, no better way to learn than to learn from the bottom.
Btw: waiting to get my hands on an APE print...
I got a 3for from my online shop.

theres no such thing as an ape print. only swabs or a syringe if u get it from a vendor.

and i started from syringes too. and once i made my first batch of prints i never looked back..

im not saying theres anything wrong with buying a syringe. i just wouldnt do it because i use agar, so prints are way better for how i grow. i hate needles in general. makes me itch just looking at them :lol:

Damn, I thought my last streaks from a vendor syringe were bad... at least there was enough clean growth to get a transfer. As a side note, those pics are a great example of how effective that streak pattern is. I usually just do the simple single back-and-forth swipe down the center, but I'm definitely going to try that pattern next time.

no. u can get a swab tho. ape has clear spores and they dont even eject spores like other varieties. it literally has a mutation that wont let it release spores. thats why people swab the spores off the gills. there is a great vendor that carries ape syringes tho. last i knew he was the only one that had them.

Wow that is so bizarre, everytime I look at a grow I always think they harvest earlier than the spores dropping. Makes sense now. Ty. Now I'm looking for an APE swab...

they come around sometimes. i was trying to fruit it but the tubs i had them in sucked and gave wayyyyyy too much fae, with the lids on. im holding onto 1 shoebox of ape incase a miracle happens. ill hit u up IF that happens. or just grab a syringe from a vendor, probably the safest route. swabs can be a bitch sometimes.

can you actually swab ape and still get real ape? josex was saying he had to get a legit vendor syringe to get real ape and swabs never produced ape looking fruits.

wow really? im not even sure about that. i got my ape from a friend, on agar already, so i really have no idea. i feel like ive seen plenty of people grow from swabs without an issue but who knows.

I've looked around, can't find any APE from the only vendor that ships to my specific location. Definitely hit me up if you get anything on a swab. I'm trying to grow my collection , up to three varieties plus RW on the way. I wish vendors had more exotic variations of cubes.

they have all the variations of cubes. except probably pf classic and rw. cubes are cubes. and apes are as "exotic" as it gets for cubes.
