My first day in Bangkok and I... * 14

--------------------
Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

It sounds like it’s pretty much how the song says it is.

How does one get anything in any place where it is against 'the law'?

We have our ways, and as long as our goal is peace, love, and unity, then I say fuck them, and everything they stand for. I'll die before they can take my freedom from me.

I'm pretty fucking drunk, having just spent the night with some amazing fellow travellers, but I'll update properly in the morning.

P.S - Burke - that vid was hella. I watched two dudes playing chess earlier on and was *mindblown*

Yeah I don’t know man, China sounds like one of those places that will kill you in the public square for getting caught with a roach, much less 2-cb, even though Ohhhhh the irony the shit was probably made there...:sherlock:

That said.... (I’m sticking with Japan), I bet looking at that culture through acidic lenses would be fucking epic beyond epic.  Hella epic!  You could probably spend a month doing nothing but walking around all eyeballs..

You should send me a plane ticket, people love it when I’m around :aweohyou:

It's an interesting place. I've been to Tokyo and Osaka. Work factors very high into everyone's priorities. In the morning and evening everyone is going to/coming home from work. Most people are dressed in black and white business attire.

There are many attractive Asian ladies, but eye contact simply never seems to happen. Everyone seems to look at the ground and walk with purpose; never to appreciate or observe what is around them.

Homelessness seems to be almost non-existent; or the country somehow hides it very well. Same with overt mental illness. I'm guessing that Japan must have an impressive social net.

Food is good, not great based on my experiences in other nations.

National pride is on full display-- in a  very modest and humble way (if that's not too much of a contradiction). I've never seen greater pride in one's nation/culture-- perhaps in the US; where it can be a little much in some regions.

DUDEE! So very jealous of all you people traveling. I'm too tied down to a life and not risky enough to do that.

Please be safe out there and come back with some stories and pictures!

With my face against the floor I can’t see who knocked me out of the way.
I don’t want to get back up but I have to so it might as well be today.
Nothing appeals to me no one feels like me, I’m too busy being calm to disappear.
I’m in no shape to be alone contrary to the shit that you might hear.

I’m sure you brought your drugs in since it’s probably one of those things you can drop onto a page in a book. Still if you end up in a Thai prison I’d love to read your peace and love and unity updates after a few years.

Also good on ya for buying a Thai prostitute. I know that form of capitalism has done wonders for their society and culture. It’s so respectful of you. Really. You’re so fucking great with your bought off “friend” driving you around too.

Your superficial bullshit is the most cliche touristy crap available.
