When using liners just giving the top of the sub a very heavy misting after each harvest works pretty great.

Okay I figured I could probably do that as the water would have nowhere else to go other than the substrate and trying to get that liner off might be a bitch and a half.

Here's what I harvested this morning, and there's still like 30 something that haven't broken their veils yet. I'm surprised how much I'm getting from a 27qt tub! I average about 1 little pin being fucked up in the process of harvesting lol.

Think a heavy misting will suffice? Not sure what that really entails but since trying to take my liner off will probably damage my substrate I'd rather go with that option if that's sufficient. Next tub I will go without liner as my surface conditions have been pretty damn good this whole grow.

Heavy misting will suffice, though I'd give it a couple days to recover after harvest personally

How heavy are we talking? I usually mist using like 4 squirts in each direction around the tub so not that much water..

Here's the last ready bit of the first flush, I've got a bit more pins growing but those will be a few days. The upside down mushroom is still going strong upside down lol.

Simulate a rain, give it a while to soak, make a judgement call!  I'd tilt it several hours after drenching it, to drain any excess water collected in the bottom of the tub; return to fruiting conditions and let it do it's thing

Okay so here's the last of the mushrooms I harvested. I'm not sure if my second flush is starting or what. I had a ton of pins during my first flush that were still growing while I was harvesting the ready mushrooms. And now all those pins are growing bigger and I have even more pins coming in. I have been harvesting the ready mushrooms as close to the bottom as possible. I read somewhere that doing this helps them to grow back faster or something along those lines.
My question is: is my second flush starting already? Should I simulate the rain now? I've been misting everyday so far as all the water is being sucked up. I also am unsure which pins are aborts if any, I've just been letting everything go as is and snipping whatever mushrooms are ready.

So I turned all 41g or whatever I had into powder and used a pill machine to make them into pills. I tried packing in as much as I could and the pills weighed out to be .4g each. I took 2 of those waited around 30 minutes and nothing happened. Then took 2 more and its now been an hour and a half since I took the initial pills... I'm not sure why nothing is happening, these clearly are psilocybe cubensis. This is the first time I've actually tried what I've harvested and I'm really confused as I took around 1.6g which I've used mushrooms before and 1g was enough to have a nice trip. The pills themselves don't weigh enough to register on my scale so I doubt they'd affect the weight that much. Any ideas? I plan on trying shrooms I just dried today next time to see if it is just the pills/powder. Took the pills on a pretty empty stomach as well..

What's MS? And I got my spore syringe from some website that showed up from my initial cubensis b+ google search. Still no effects, gonna see about 1.5g of my dry mushrooms I've got.. There haven't been any signs of contamination at all so I'm not sure.

Multispore, not a clone or isolate... take it all at once: your body develops a tolerance to psilocybin and psilocin almost immediately,  rendering the second dose nearly half as affective for nearly 4-5 days...

I've honestly got no clue, here's the description they provided...

This is our b+ strain of Psilocybe Cubensis spore syringe.

Cap: 25-75 mm in diameter. Dark red maturing to golden brown, Fine fibrous veil when young that soon disappear. Flesh white that soon bruise's bluish green.

Stem: 150-200 mm in length yellowish in color enlarged sometimes at the base, sheen and bruise's bluish, hollow. Partial veil membrane.

Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish in color when young turning black when mature.

Spores: Dark purplish brown, Subellipsoid, 13 by 8 micrometers on 4 spored basidia

Oh jeeze okay I didn't know that. So in my case I took 2 pills and waited for the effects and nothing happened so I took 2 more. So the last two pills I took wouldn't do anything anyways? Anyways bud has always been my friend so no harm here  :doublejointed:

Exactly... and if you inoculated with a syringe, it's MS,  if you haven't cloned a fruit, or isolated strains on agar, it's MS... it's a genetic crapshoot, you could've pulled a short straw... the next inoculation might produce the best mushrooms you've ever seen... there are literally thousands of strains in an MS grow, sometimes they're generally good, sometimes it's mostly shit

Yeah I used a syringe to inoculate my rye berries.. I cloned two nice fruits from the first flush onto agar, still waiting for those to show anything. So if I did somehow manage to get the shitty genetics would the cloned ones on agar be useless?

Depends on the fruit it came from:  I take the 5 fastest finishing from the largest clusters for clones... weigh my smallest fruit and use that as my testing dose, and test them 4 days apart... I still grow each out side by side in shoeboxes to determine a winning culture based on colonization speed, yield, and potency... once I have a culture I'm happy with in these criteria, I start looking for phenotypes to isolate... I like the oddballs lol
