This. The ignorant bone-heads always bail for "impact" which means neither of these things.

And your, you're, their, they're, its, it's. Fuck. Don't get me started.

How can you be in two places at once, when you're not anywhere at all?

Are you pop or soda? I think the border meanders somewhere near where you are anymore.

As for anymore, I can’t even figure out what the rules are for your implementation.

Soda up here.  I think there are some places in western PA that use pop though.

Anymore means “now”, “still”, or “these days”, depending on context.  The word “yet” can be used very similarly in a lot of instances.

my new favorite word is prolepsis (noun)/proleptic (adj)

Rhetoric . the anticipation of possible objections in order to answer them in advance.

the assigning of a person, event, etc., to a period earlier than the actual one; the representation of something in the future as if it already existed or had occurred; prochronism.

the use of a descriptive word in anticipation of its becoming applicable.

a fundamental conception or assumption in Epicureanism or Stoicism arising spontaneously in the mind without conscious reflection; thought provoked by sense perception.

Pathology . the return of an attack of a periodic disease or of a paroxysm before the expected time or at progressively shorter intervals.

I actually like it in first sense provided, "the anticipation of possible objections in order to answer them in advance."

I chose 'pride'

I don't like how often it is used to describe someone with too much pride, instead of some one with plain old good and healthy pride itself. we have words for too much pride, plenty of them.
