Awesome is a good one. It does not mean good necessarily.

Literally and definitely.
Possibly most superlatives, too

if the majority of people use a lexeme to mean a certain thing, then they're using it correctly. this is the case with "could care less" and "literally"

Plethora - an OVERABUNDANCE of something. Not just 'plentiful'.
Also my favorite word is confluence. I just like how it sounds.

I should clarify. Not words that are used wrong grammatically but in regard to definition

Love!
Love is a current, not an emotion. The term love is commonly used when the words compassion and admiration are most appropriate, although they need conjoining words to work in a proper phrase. Even though not linguistically correct, i do however feel that it's okay for one to say "I love you" to someone who one is immersed in the current ov love with(not necessarily intimate/sexual but most frequently so). I hate when people use 'love' to say things like "I love brussels sprouts" though. I may even be guilty ov that on occasion but i've been consciously trying to avoid it for some time now.

How about the word THE.
People use that word wrong most of the time, and it accounts for something like 6% of all written english language.

In which ways is "the" so often used improperly? I think if anything that most communicating in English get that right.
