I buy high cbd hemp the buds are usually 17%-20% cbd, less than .03%thc. I enjoy the smoke and it offers a subtle but noticeable effect. Since I don’t smoke THC buds I can definitely feel the effects of hemp.

I bought the sour kush and other 2 strains at a dispensary in San Francisco this summer while I was on vacation.

"Old school" weed to me is columbian, columbian gold, oaxacan, blue hawaiin, skunk bud (just plain "skunk", the seeds were huge and the stems were very big, smelled almost exactly like a skunk), thai stick, panama red, puna bud (hawaiin), CA orange bud, alcapulco gold, and that deep dark purple weed they called "purple weed". If anyone knows where to get any of these let me know.

Purple doesn't do shit.  It's bag appeal for people that get off on names like banana sherbert lollipop lobotomy for a weed name.

If I want candy I'll buy candy.  If I want weed I don't want candy.

My future goal is to start growing old skool strains like White Widow or Blueberry. U cant even find those anymore at dispensers!

Ive only probably seen two full purp strains in my life. Very rare.

I would love white widow. I think they have hybridized the seeds too much to make the plants short, bushy, and bud faster. Not to mention they seem to force too many nutes into these plants and do not flush them enough. The best weed I've had is what I grew. Wasn't pretty but everyone that smoked it said it was really good. The laughed at the way it looked until it was lit, lol!

Probably because purple strains are thick and leafy and unpleasant to smoke usually

I love Sativas and indicas and everything between, but never have been a fan of purple strains in particular. The good purples are usually just a little purple and mostly green and frosty. The full blown purple strains I’ve had were thick and harsh smoke and left heavy black ash in the bowl. I’m thinking of you, purple urkle/GDP/lavender

Looks good though. I just can’t go through more than a couple bowls of the stuff before I feel it in my lungs and throat


If I’m not mistaken GDP is very close to if not the same as purple urkle. And possibly lavender also is very close, I remember reading. Used to get pounds of purple urkle from Northern California that looked almost exactly like the photo above, sometimes fully purple, other times just a tiny bit of purple, but always those thick meaty leafy buds... it’s like the flesh of the plant is thicker, those little leaves on the bud are like construction paper or leather.... not exactly a clean feeling/tasting smoke. Definitely sleepy time weed

it is a bit tricky to get the cure right sometimes, but i love the way mine tastes. not bad/harsh at all. :shrug:
