I don't think traffic in the northeast in general is comparable to traffic in Atlanta, certainly not NYC or the garden state parkway the Long Island Expressway, 80east in north jersey in the morning on your way to NYC and 80west coming home from NYC is insane

People from Pennsylvania Massachusetts nystate plates they don't belong on the road with north jersey/NYC drivers, fucking idiots

Atlanta and LA are pretty much the worst traffic zones in the country.  Salt Lake City and I-580/80/880/etc...around SF/the Bay area are close, but not quite as bad.

The rule for a cdl driver  (the formula for following distance) is every 10 ft of truck requires 1 second of following distance

If traveling above 40mph, add one second of following distance after calculating according to your truck length you add a second if you're travelling above 40mph

Rd conditions exacerbate the importance of following distance and defensive driving against aggressive drivers like u...who have weapons in the car while delivering pizza btw...

I own a Landcruiser 200 series. It's a V8 twin turbo Diesel and it's the tits. Best car I've ever owned, and I've had some other really good cars.

Toyotas have a pretty good reputation in Australia, mainly because of the Landcruser Troopcarier. It's basically the only car you'll see in remote communities, and doing grunt work jobs.

I don't think you have those in America. If you did you would likely have a different view on Toyotas.

Toyotas small-medium car range is pretty garbage, and disproportionately owned by Asians, giving them a stereotypically based reputation for bad drivers.

You're probably a Toyotadope and are offended.  What is clear to me is that i was in the accident while you were being an ignorant ass elsewhere.  I would love for a dash cam to have been involved actually.  If two cars are driving at similar speed and the one in front slams on their brakes for an emergency stop(which for a Toyotadope is a yellow light), the car behind only has the distance between them subtracted by the reaction time and inferiority ov its braking system to stop.  The latter overcame the former and the accident was unavoidable.  I did have time to manuver but not the option to because i would have crashed into other objects.  I am a PROFESSIONAL driver and know what i am doing and talking about.  Do not tell me to grow the fuck up when you are postulating based on the assumption that i do not want to take accountability.  I always admit to my mistakes and those who know my post history will know that the shroomery is not exempt from this honesty.  So scurry into your Toyota and fuck off.


You're a professional driving a 96 Toyota that you have to "pump the brakes" on?  You didn't have time to stop, and are at fault in this accident because there was clearly a car in front of you stopping, and you rear ended them.  That's how driving laws work and you're clearly the one wrong here, and should just take your butthurt like a man and use those insurance points as incentive to be a better driver rather than being a whiny bitch.

My c class Prius has been super duper for me, goes up and down steep grades no problem. It's light and gets blown around in the wind and doesn't have cruise control but o would definitely get another after. 

Sorry about the crash,  just be grateful you didn't get hurt

I don't have a roof rack, uhf or stupid red spotties, and mine has side rails that run from the bull bar to the side steps to stop side impact roo damage. The rest is the same.

The gimp rides up front with me.

I could see getting something like a Highlander or 4Runner. I like to have some form of 4WD but I don't go off road to speak of.

Certain common Toyota cars like the Corolla seem to be driven by people who basically think of the car as a transport appliance and nothing more. Like a Honda without any appeal to people who think they're race car drivers.
