Cannabutter Recipe

Can someone give me a tried and true cannabutter recipe?  I have about 5 ounces of sugar leaves and popcorn buds in the freezer that I'd like to put to good use.

Use 1 oz to 1 pound butter, melt butter add ingredients, allow to simmer while stirring every once in awhile for anywhere from 1-7 days

I just did that a few days ago

Use just enough oil/butter to cover the weeds and throw that into a pot of simmering water for a few hours

scoop out the plant material and save it

strain the mixture and put in the freezer for 30 minutes and the cannabutter will form as a separate chunk on top of the water

you can try a second boil with the plant matter

It needs to be pressed out thoroughly remember that

As long as you do it for at least 90 minutes it will be good

plus in gets decarboxylated if you cook with it

Actually adds a pretty nice taste to chocolate, all just personal preference, and makes sure all the butter is saturated with thc, hahahahahahaha thats the funniest thing I've heard all day 😂😂😂 what cop would waste there time busting somebody making butter? Plus its legal to make your own butter in my state

Anyways to the OP, hope your butter works out! Its a pretty easy process, and i forgot to add like the other guy said once your butter is solidified dont forget to drain the way off the bottom (the brown liquid under the chunk of butter)

That's how alot of people do it, the only reason I do 1-7 days is to ensure all the thc has bonded to the fat in the butter, ive tried the stove method and then re used the left over flower and trim and got a second nice batch out of it, plus i like the flower taste hahaha

Use coconut oil (mct oil better yet) and lecithin instead of butter, itll be more bioavailable. And it can be more concentrated

What measurements do you use - oil/lecithin/cannabis?

You can go with 3/4 to one cup oil to 1 to 2 tablespoons lecithin and 1 ounce bud.

My GF got me Bong Appetité, a cookbook based on the cooking TV show.

In the beginning, there is a cooking recipie for cannabutter. It recommends using European butter as it has more fat content than American butter. The longer u simmer the butter and weed, the better the extraction.
