Chlorine does not mean water is automatically clean or safe.

i can't find anything saying this is a requirement, it's just something that is sometimes done. the way it is being marketed to people by vendors absolutely makes it come across like an optional treatment option. if you can find something else indicating otherwise please let me know.

I work for Publix, and so far we haven't heard anything about Chlorine being thrown into the equation............ That's something else... I'm not supposed to discuss outside of Publix.

But I CAN tell you we have pulled all our romaine lettuce from the stores, and that Duncan Hines cakes mixes have been recalled also, for Salmonella. So if you have Duncan Hines cake mixes, recently bought from within the passed few months, throw them out. RIGHT NOW. Pepperidge Farm has also recalled over a million of their gold fishes packages. There hasn't been any incidents yet with the gold fishes or the cake mixes yet, but don't let your guards down.

Remember, BlueBell IceCream wasn't back until 4 or 5 years later. Try explain THAT to your customer. And then telling them, "Even if I have this product in the back, I can't give it you."

Why would you be aware of the irrigation practices of farmers on the other side of the country?

It's desert water, the dirtiest water there is.

Try to put yourself there. That's how I solved this crisis in 5 min.

Um... because I work for Publix and I work at a certain position that requires me to know these things.

Or this,

The dirty farm water that's spreading e-coli, Trump's FDA blocked rules designed to fix it

The science is clear. And as usual, Trump doesn't care.

For more than a decade, it’s been clear that there’s a gaping hole in American food safety: Growers aren’t required to test their irrigation water for pathogens such as E. coli. As a result, contaminated water can end up on fruits and vegetables.

After several high-profile disease outbreaks linked to food, Congress in 2011 ordered a fix, and produce growers this year would have begun testing their water under rules crafted by the Obama administration’s Food and Drug Administration.

But six months before people were sickened by the contaminated romaine, President Donald Trump’s FDA – responding to pressure from the farm industry and Trump’s order to eliminate regulations – shelved the water-testing rules for at least four years.

Nothing posted here is based in any way on fact. It is all complete fiction for my own personal amusement.

I mean, I'm not dumb. I work Publix. We know.................... more than everyone else does. Kind of crazy. And creepy...

The water is nasty af. But it comes from a reservoir in the mountains. The only way that water could be the main source of transmission is from massive amounts of runoff from the feedlot.

One thing though... it doesnt rain in the desert. How is it going to run off?

Look at any of these massive cattle operations and there is usually a hazy shit cloud surrounding the whole area.

I would say the corporate media is trying to protect beef interests but I guess this is just a byproduct of a careless society
