just noticed there's a recall across the country for romaine lettuce.  I tend to eat a shit ton of it, but on the bright side it looks like green leaf and some other similar varieties are still ok.

Had a grocery store employee come and pull some salad from my basket, he said he could't sell it to me before hand, something about the romaine lettuce.

:shrug:

Some other employee was pulling bags of salad off the shelf, saying something or other about not being able to sell and having just stocked it.

Read about this yesterday. Sucks. It's my go to for pre dinner salads. Something about the crunchy, and light taste that makes it feel so "refreshing"

green leaf lettuce is a good substitute, although not nearly as crunchy.  I think all the mixed bag salads which include pieces of romaine are being warned against as well.

I have some in my fridge...  Gotta throw it out I guess.

Normally I ignore these warnings because what are the odds?  But now I hear it EVERYWHERE...  If it made it to the shroomery then fuck it. I toss mine and get something else.

Canada is warning people not to eat it as well.

I had a sandwich from Tim Hortons yesterday and noticed they had romaine on there. I took it off but I wonder how many restaurants do that shit, probably a lot.

Spinach is one of the main sources of E coli outbreaks.

Sorry buddy, but most outbreaks of the stuff come from leafy greens.

I feel like its a little safer cause its not  in contact with the ground all the time
