Yeah, where does he get the idea he can ask hard questions during the Q&A part of a press conference? It's not like this is a democracy.

Someone from a respectable news outlet like Faux News would have asked the questions we all care about, like "So, how's the family?"

Acosta wasnt merely trying to 'ask hard questions".  He tried to monopolize Trump's time by turning the conference into a debate.  Trump was under no obligation to humor him.

If the person isn’t doing anything illegal, then yes that would be battery.

Each reporter gets two questions. Those are the accepted rules of Washington press conferences. If trump doesn’t like it, he can get another job.

What Acosta did could possibly be characterized as illegal.  He was holding onto the mic, which was the White House's property, and refusing to give it back to the rightful owners.  So in a sense, this is theft, if not robbery.

Nope.  You couldn't be more wrong.  What she was doing was attempted robbery, technically.  She used force to take property that was lawfully in the possession of another.  I doubt that would be proven, so I'll stick with battery on this one.

Nope, that was Trump's property.  He's now going to get stronger enforcement so this type of thing doesn't happen again.

He'll probably go back to NOT giving press conferences, which was the norm for his first 2 years.
Let Sarah handle the press until she quits or gets fired like the other press secretarys he had.

The mic was not in Acosta's legal possession.  He was only given the temporary permission to use it.  The mic had always been the White House's property, and the White House could withdraw this permission anytime, for any reason.  And when Trump said, "that's enough", he was essentially saying he wanted his mic back.  But Acosta still held onto it and he fought to keep it.  This is technically unlawful.

The microphone and the whitehouse belong to the American people and Trump  is just a temporary employee .
Never mind the fact that the people bitching about Acosta willingly voted for a man that brags about committing sexual assault . This is such an epic level of hipicracy you should just kick yourself in the balls for it right now .

Why do conservatives prefer the media to be an obedient  lap dog rather than a watchdog ?

I guess this really boils down to who/what entity that mic belongs to.  Not saying you are wrong, but I just feel that Trump should be the rightful owner, for as long as he remains the POTUS.

Also, if the White House belongs to the American people, how come an average joe can't just waltz into it and start sleeping on its floor?

I would have grabbed her by her pussy with my free hand , pointed at trump with mic , and winked at the cameras if I was Accosta , whatever criminal charges I may have received would have been so worth it .

I don’t know where trump sleeps, but that pretty much describes what he’s done. Average is being generous. I doubt he waltzes either.
