I can't stop crying (Watched Bohemian Rhapsody)

I have always struggled with being "me" and being the "me" that I perceived that my friends, family, country, etc. wanted me to be. There is something about this movie that confronts me. like its calling me out. I have often mused if I am gay, but I have lived such a macho lifestyle that i wouldn't know how. I have been with my wife for twelve years as of today. I love her, but we have always recognized that I am emotionally distant. I literally could not and want not to imagine my life without her or my children. Everything that i do has been to make others happy. I joined the navy for her; I attempted to be a SEAL for my father; i got OUT of the navy for my children; I am in college because that is the more reputable route, by society's measure, to do what I wish to do. I am still working through it, and thanks for reading.

I just watched Bohemian Rhapsody and cannot stop crying for the past hour, and the feelings come in waves as I find myself reflecting over various elements of the movie. The themes of self worth, family, friends, forgiveness, and redemption hit particularly hard because i grew up with this music.

I highly recommend that others see it and weigh in here, if it strikes them to do so.

I suspect many young men tried to be seals due to their fathers.  It seems to take something almost magical and true to pull that one off.

Try being asexual and see where the energy goes.  I don't believe in true love as much as I dofate and a but of commitment to those we cross paths with.  So may be your wife, may be some dude at the gym.  Over all I tend to buy into that our true sexual identity is just about release and maybe what scares us the most.  Sexual activity realy isn't about control as much as losing something negative and heavy.  It's a brief loss of control and flirting with disaster.  Some rather be more safe about it, many have not.

Whatever the case of the choice, protect yourself in all ways.  The world is more free and a lot more accepting.  Cannot even imagine all the concerns.

That is some wise stuff. I will admit that I have a problem being vulnerable. Its probably why i decided it would be good to make this post. Thanks for weighing in.

I will usually shed a few dignified tears for a movie here and there that deserves it, but ive straight up ugly cried for this movie and SLC punk.
