They are both executive orders that the supreme Court should deal with.

Conservatives own the supreme Court, which is good.

The supreme court would have to be heavily anti-constitution to even entertain this executive order.

I'm sure it will get signed, I'm even more sure it will be struck down by the Supreme court.

Unlike DACA which has been upheld as being constitutional.

There is a pathway, its via a constitutional amendment.

The majority of conservatives, liberals, progressives, people in general, all agree on this. That includes Paul Ryan.

Since it’s obvious the order will change nothing. Trump is either a moron and likes signing things for fun. Which is entirely possible. Or he’s playing politics. My guess is that it’s 50/50.


Yes I read it but I guess I didn't make my point clearly. My point was that even trump, as proud of his ignorance as he is, wouldn't be stupid enough to think he can change the constitution with an executive order. But I was wrong.
I agree it will change nothing, and I think it's intended to fire up his base. If his base believes he can do it, they either didn't pay attention or never went to school. I read somewhere that this 'no birthright citizenship for children of non-citizens' scheme is a lunatic fringe idea that's been around for over a decade.

Yet, every first world nation outside of the US and Canada doesn't allow birthright citizenship.

So in reality, the US and Canada are practicing a "fringe" policy.

I was using your comment to support my argument, not being critical of it, as I agree'd with what you had said.

I'm actually not against having the discussion regarding birth right, especially in that I don't really even understand the historical context of the 14th amendment. Perhaps it's needs to be revisited, I just think the executive order situation is dumb, or at least believing that it's anything more than smoke and mirrors is dumb.

Having underfunded schools, an economy designed for financial capitalists, and no public health insurance strains society a lot more than a few immigrants.

Stressed out people can be driven to commit violent crimes.

Lies.

My county is 9% undocumented. One of the highest concentrations in the US. We have one of the highest median incomes in the country. We have THE BEST public school system in the country. We have very low crime rates. Unemployment is under 3%. Minimum wage is $12.50 per hour.

You know where they don’t have a lot of illegals? Shitholes like West Virginia.

Never understood why anyone would think the candidate chosen by the people living in America’s shitholes would be a good president. These are people who have destroyed their own lives and wallow in poverty. They make horrible decisions, like voting for a moronic grifter such as trump.

What do you mean? Lots of countries offer dual citizenship to people born on their
soil of foreign parents.

My best friend from high school has dual mexican and american citizenship.
