also can anyone tell me why the skinnier one has those black spots ? is it ok ?? :frown:
And please, ill be doing my own research of course but how do I grow these and keep them alive? any advice helps ive only ever received cuttings when necessary or ordered them.
and ill cry if a cacti dies on my watch :frown:

Yeah, pretty sure, they have quite variable appearance. It could possibly be a Stenocereus species, but I don't think so. It's definitely not a Trichocereus.

The blackish spots are probably nothing to worry about unless they're mushy. Pretty much any non-green spots or scabs are no problem unless they're unusually soft or smell weird

Don't know the exact ID but for me the first thing that came to mind was polaskia chichipe as well, it's been mistaken for trichocereus many a time. Still a nice cactus though
