cacti identification
    #1899497 -

Well, I was looking around home depot and lowes today, and I noticed a few different cacti that looked interesting.  What I am looking for is either a san pedro or peruvian torch, and a few of these look like they could possibly be one of these varieties.  Here are the pictures that I took:

I have numbered them from 1-11.  I am really hoping a few of these are what I'm looking for.  Thanks for the help, I'll be anxiously awaiting the verdict.

You'll never find either of those in a variety pack at lowes or home depot. I've looked. I wish I was good enough to actually tell you what those are, but they're not magical.

You will find san pedros at lowes. Found them last year -two in a pot at about 13" each for fourteen smackeroos. This year it is no go. They sell some sor tof trich. labled a grandiflorous or something (only spelled correctly). These are labled in the FAQ at erowid to contain unspecified alkaloids meaning anything. However it may be noted that that species is flush with mescaline producers and perhaps (unofficially of course) this shopuld be tried. Got afew growing now but waiting for biggerbetterbigger. Heard that cawe may be found too. Many cacti having chemicals of great interest and little exposure are found at Lowes if one is inclined to look (at least five I've noted.) Wish we had a Home Depot around here. Read the visionary cactus guide at Erowid and write down names and check tags. Hey- the meow meow commercial....

5 - blue mytles

10 and 6 - look like stetsonia coryne
