SW PA Gyms?

Habitat:
Southwest PA near P Pittsburgh. Deciduous forest growing ON a decaying log.

Gills:
Rusty orange, semi attached. Spores rusty orange/brown.

Stem:
Meaty, 1-2 cm thick, curved out of log. Central attachment to cap. 3 cm to 6 cm in length (specimens observed). Orange/yellow

Cap:
4-12 cm (specimens observed). Yellow/orange. Somewhat scaly, and radially fibrous. Mostly smooth

Spore print color:
Rusty orange/Brown (see picture)

Bruising:
None noticeable

Other information:
Scent is sweet. Somewhat cinnomony/tumeric-y

It should be a Gym IMO, I have found some similar last year. Compare to: Gymnopilus penetrans

It's almost definitely not junonius, if you're asking that. Size, and color perhaps too. Not sure how junonius smells tho.

Just looking for some more consensus on these guys. The whole thing about the Galerina lookalikes to gyms has me a little paranoid.

Not Galerinas. I say inactive gyms. Forget them either way.

Sorry, cronicr. They're too dry to print at this point. Although, you can see some prints on a paper towel in the original post. Rusty brown, which is another reason for the galerina paranoia.
