I apologize, I somehow  created a duplicate post. I also only see like 5% of the post without the pictures I added-maybe because new account? I was pulling weeds (hence the gloves) and found these growing from the mulch in my yard. Never seen fungi like these around here, so I’m very intrigued. Now i check this mulch  area regularly and they’re always growing in the same spot. Spores appear a chocolate-purple? The caps seem to flatten out a bit as they get bigger but that nipple always remains. No blue bruising is evident...
