running while stoned

Got stoned today and decided to run a few miles.

I ran the first one in 7:47 and the second at 7:10. Good stuff!

Do you find being stoned makes you run faster, better, or for longer durations than normal?  At the height of my training I could run a mile in about 6:05.  I want to start running again, though, maybe I should get stoned beforehand? :spliff:

Hmmmmm,

When I trained last fall, I smoked often and had no problems. However, when I quit, my training sessions were more painful and my body was more stiff.

I haven't noticed any respiratory problems with it, other than clearing my throat while running, and it doesn't really slow me down. I'm not sure if it enhances though.

Yeah I got stoned with some friends in a forest one day. All of a sudden my one friend remembered that he had to be home when his mom came home, beacause if he wasn't she would be super suspicious (and we also reaked of weed). So we settle into a fast pace jog through the forest and down a long neighborhood road. Halfway down the road I turn around and I'm sooo far ahead of my friends. I wasn't tired either. I kinda felt proud of myself, hehe. I don't run either.

i've been trying to jog and stuff lately..i think i'm gonna try this. didn't even think about smoking before the run.

I am in a personal fitness class this semester, and every tuesday and thursday we run. Last semester I smoked a lot of weed, pretty much every day. This semester I've slowed down but I still smoke quite a bit. I can't say that smoking weed has helped me, but it certainly hasn't done much harm. I usually finish 2nd or 3rd and do well on all fitness testing. I imagine if I ran stoned I'd probably get burnt out really quickly, I'll have to try it some time  :bong: :stash:  :spliff: :yesnod:

I love getting really stoned in the summertime and riding my bike around the city... stop off at a friend's every once and a while, smoke a joint with 'em, then hop back on the bike and ride somewhere else. :grin:

running stoned...doing physical activity stoned...it burns you out quicker. at least it does so for me. i've been to the weight room freshly blazed and i could not do as many reps in my later sets as i can do sober. it feels very good and the burn is pronounced very early on...but fatigue sets in early.

its probobly not too good for weight lifting... but i think it helps in things like running or biking (kayaking for me), pot either helps me pace myself, or eases the burn.

I did it tripping as well... I was booted from the track team because I was busted for being stoned several times...

My coaches were encouraging me to go after some gold and I might have done it if I hadnt picked up thee cigarettes again... the funny thing is I was about 50lbs over weight and I always attributed it to momentum....

the only runners i knew that could run better than a 5 minute mile were lanky/skinny as fuck

I know what you mean... summertime... stoned... riding on a bike, it feels good somehow.  I lived in a little town last year and during the summer I would smoke pot and ride around the town, the ride feels so much smoother :smile:

I'm short and was tubby (getting there again)... I was a God? at my HS... I was also a stoner.... I wrestled, started football and got booted (same reasons) and ran track...

I'm an indian, I deal with the fatigue, strain and pain alot differently, if you cant feel it you can push your body to its limits....
