for you to discuss or bring up the discussion of brotherhood is a joke.

you support the death of all Iranians and Syrians, as well as Palestenians, and likely others.

That's a really good discussion point to being up, thanks.

I think Israel/Palestine is a great extreme example of how to consider brotherhood between all in the context of diametrically opposed interests.

What's your take on the situation as it relates to brotherhood?

I'm not unilaterally Zionist, but this thread is about human brotherhood so please tailor your contributions to the theme if you don't mind

if you are a Zionist then brotherhood is non-existent.  i'm sorry you don't see that.  the same is true for fundamentalist muslims and christians.

Anyone else have a take? Gender? Facebook/texting? Race relations?

What have you been thinking about on brotherhood when your mind wanders

No boarders. No nations. :sun:

Remember that we all are brothers
All people, beasts, trees and stone and wind
We all descend from the one great being
That was always there
Before people lived and named it
Before the first seed sprouted

It's when another boy squeezes out of the same vagina you came out of. (If you're also a boy.)

I think about this all the time. Though a cliche, it is loving everyone. Reserved judgement. Empowering each other. What I constantly debate in my mind is: does love look different depending on the need/personality/etc.?

It's easy, in the name of brotherhood/sisterhood, to throw money at a problem but does that solve it? Is that love?

Love has shown her face in so many ways it's difficult to discern exactly how to treat people.

Brotherhood means family without blood.

Wow theres a lot there. Can you elaborate on what you mean about love?

It definitely looks different between personalities IMO. Some of my friends, punching each other means I love you. Others practically want a hug.

Are you pre-screening me before we hang? :heartpump:

Again, cliche, but I think the old text captures my feelings well: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is like much of what we enjoy - hard to really put your finger on it (or words), but Love is the only thing that improved my life.
