If you eat just eat healthy. Fruits and vegetables and grains and healthy food and not garbage. Then eating is fine

Well, not if your goal is to hit ketosis head on. Fruits and veggies will stop that from happening.

No my bad I was responding more so about icetech discussing over eating.

I'm that issue is more or less solved if the food you consume is chosen wisely

I fast all the time. It's not that hard. I even hit 120 on the free way once. Going fast is easy... just push harder on the gas pedal

Lmao. I actually found that quite funny

Pretty interesting  not really a fan of fastfood now adays. Aswell as processed preserved meats like spam and hotdogs due to their high NaNo3 contents.

No wonder that fasting is beneficial to the body&soul according to the BIBLE.

Food for thought: that famine and starvation are normaly experienced by the animals in the wild which strengtens them and extends their life span, in short if one would lessen a percentage of their caloric intake it will inreturn give beneficial result to the body. So we have 2 choices to always stay full or experience hunger every now and then.

This will cleanse the taste buds aswell.
Some bitter foods turn sweet after fasting you will appreciate their true taste more.
Quote:
(Proverbs 27:7)The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

Fasting benifits the body and soul.

I'm still a little confused on what exactly is or isn't allowed.

I remember hearing someone mention having sea moss during a fast.

And I'm confused by which liquids are allowed or for instance honey and twhat the actual physical reason for these particular restrictions are

I have not dug deep on restrictions scientifically but according to our mentors who practiced it.

Having solid food during fasting like that sea moss negates it, its better to juice it first.. juices and water does not resets it.

Its all about how one can last long interms of it. Just like how long can an individual hold its breath thru practice eg(wimhofman method).

In my limited experience about 3-4 days is the longest with some water And some natural green juice or fruit juice in at morning and night.(eg. Carrots, lettuce, apple etc) then at the end of fasting aim for solid greens, fruits and grains, avoid meat and dairy. Fish are best if you need meat after quite some time eg a week or 2.

Will aim for a week next time as it greatly helps with kidney stones.

Important Side note it also good to give those food your supposed to eat normaly during that fasting period to those who are in greatly in need of it. This will give yah endurance.

:whathesaid::congrats: less nausia too.

Im my experience after the fasting youll appreciate the real taste of a fruit even the bitter ones becomes slightly sweet.

According to Those who can hold it for a week or more produces a feeling of mild euphoria.

Approx. 75 hours for men and 55 for women is when ketosis and euphoria hit.

I'm at around 68 hours in. Feeling good. High energy, good mental clarity.
Had some temptations last night. Good friend invited me for dinner (he is a great cook) and red wine at a music jam. But I resisted.

Euphoria hasn't hit yet. I'm breaking my fast tomorrow around lunchtime. Probably fruit.

Will taste soooo gooood

Fuck man no kidding. While working I eat through out my shift.  I have the metabolism of a humingbird. I just like to be fed a good ass dinner. I'm hungry consistently all of the time.

Add electrolytes to your water (without sugar, honey, etc.). Helps with hunger pangs and bodily functions.

I did a bunch of research on intermittent fasting today while bored. think i'm going to give it a try. I have no desire to go all keto. but if results people are talking about from 4:3 or 8/16 i would be happy with that.. going to start tonight after work. well. now actually.. just water til 10am.

I usually follow what natural myself and later learned a lot of my natural eating habits are talked about by other people.

For example intermittent fasting.

I actually eat that way without thinking about it and later heard about it and realized I already did it.

For me I don't eat early in the day usually or breakfast. Sometimes I do some fruit or cereal or toast  Usually just not hungry. And won't eat until later in the day.

Also eat a lot at night. Something I feel I hear a lot of people say you shouldn't do.

But I go to the sauna a lot and have had people ask me how I am so "cut".

Not super big or strong imo but I am "cut" I suppose.

But I just do what feels natural. Eat when I'm hungry, drink when I'm thirsty, sleep when I'm tired

Just being strict with eating healthy imo really does wonders and is by far the most important aspect of physical health. Mental hygein is just as important though. Meditation followed by exercise

Eat healthy, meditate, read, exercise, :super:

Veggies and fruits and nuts are all great.

I prefer organic.

If you have to eat meat imo sardines are one of the best
