I live with a lady in a wheelchair who hasn't stood or walked for 8 years!  I think about her every time I walk or stand.

I blew my back out sneezing one time and fell down on my apt floor where I stayed for about 7 days.  If that place caught on fire I wouldnt have been able to get out.

When your legs stop working... I see it as similar to when your car runs out of gas, or breaks etc, and that road becomes loooooooooooong bro.  When you’re ass slammed into the fetal position for a week, just a week, that shit you see over there on the counter, the microwave, is beyond reach.  Might as well be Mars, you arent getting there.

Seems almost unfair the way the body injures.  Work work work, strive strive strive, acomplish and in one moment BOOM!....gone.

And nobody escapes it.

Damn, my bros Sunshine and Amanita on this subject, which strangely enough I was thinking deeply about last night. I kept thinking about how as an ultimate torture some kings would burn the feet clear off, to the bone, of a prisoner, while still alive.

and then release them... back then there were no wheel chairs, no roads, nothing. men, left to crawl like dogs, or be carried.

I am SO THANKFUL every day for my FEET and my EYES. ...

and everything else.

don't ever take anything for granted.

Gz man. I can't imagine losing my ability to walk. I use it for everything. I walk 5+ miles a day not including work. I would be fucked without my ability to walk. I'd probably just kill myself. Done deal lol.

Foot injuries are the worst. so lame.

look at history.


but yeah. ... I personally was faced with losing one eye, and it was a miracle that I regained it.
but it put things into perspective.


it get's much more real when you are certain you have 1 hour to live.

I've been fucked up for over 7 years.  I can't hardly walk, stand or sit down.  So I can't use a wheelchair.  I had a good time with martial arts.  I want to train again every day!
I tried to kill myself 3.5 years ago now.  They put me in a mental prison for over a year with serial killers and rapists.  I saw a fight almost every day.  I don't want to try suicide again.  I don't want to stab myself in the throat ever again!  My mind is all scrambled up and I'm terminal.  I expect surgery and a feeding tube and will be in a coma until I die!  Peace out.
I'll tell you that mental prison blew my mind like any mushroom.  I stabbed myself over 20 times with a pair of scissors.  It doesn't hurt and makes an awful sound.  Got my jugular vein three times.  My neck swelled out to my chin and cut off the blood flow.  Got a helicopter ride to Seattle for good surgery!

Mobility is something we take for granted. Broke and dislocated my leg and shattered my ankle in a bicycle accident four and a half months ago. I was working two jobs and often on my feet 14-18hrs a day. Now it's painful from the moment I wake up but I can be on my feet for 4-5 hours before it is bad. I teared up when I limped my first few steps without a walker.

I recently was blessed with a P.O.D. concert near Buford GA, and I was in awe at how hard these guys went.


THey aklso did something I did not expect.

Absolutely. I've fucked my ankles up a couple times. You never really understand until your out. Everything I do requires walking. Basically put me on the street until it healed. Well I just moved back in with MA. I can't walk man god this hurts and sucks all of the dicks.
