99.9% of society couldn't give a single fuck less what your sexuality or preferences are. You can fuck watermelons if you want.. I don't care.
Just don't expect everyone to agree with and respect your choices if you decide it must be proclaimed to the world.
This sums up most of the movement

Who defines the parameters of "ordinary"?

Most common, usual...
Oh, who? Well the majority does...

Who else would?

And 99.9℅ of the lgbt community doesn't give a fuck what you think.

"Coming out" is only a big thing because otherwise everyone assumes you must be "normal" and try to enforce "normalcy" on you by asking why you don't have a relationship with the opposite sex or why your hairs growing out or why your voice is changing or when you're gonna make a baby.

In an ideal society everyone would mind their own fucking business wouldn't they?

It matters when they are so opposed to it that LGBT lives and well being are affected. I'm not an "in your face" kind of person about much. I think maybe the show that is going on right now is in part because of the marginalized people that are androgynous, hermaphrodites, and a myriad of other complicated terms and mental/physical states of being. They haven't really had a voice and seem to be expected to fit into the LGBT umbrella. A lot of people can not handle anything they deem weird, strange, or "not right". Not even LGBT people sometimes. It seems like the whole movement toward "what should it matter what sex I am anyway" is going a bit too far sometimes. The whole respect my pronouns thing seems to have gotten out of hand. If someone portrays themselves as a male or female, I am going to automatically say ma'am or sir out of respect like I was taught as a child. Some people say that should change and if the perceived "sex" of a person is in question, then the person questioning it should ask what they prefer to be addressed as, or just say them they etc...So to get a persons attention we should say "hey you"!? A few people may turn around thinking it is them.:confused: I'm actually ahead of my time, I've been calling babies "it" for years! Because I don't know what it is unless the parents tell me. They dress it in "feminine" or "butch" clothing and colors that are supposed to let you know though, hmmmm, maybe this should be explored.

Don't get me wrong, some people do. Most people generally just want acceptance from their family and friends. And when they don't get that they can project it out to wider society. Those of the lgbt community who are accepted by those close to them often don't feel the need to be like "that".

So long as rights aren't infringed and no one gets harassed, yeah most of the lgbter dgaf what every little everyone thinks.

I shouldn't have maybe said it like that but I'm mad we still somehow generalize groups of hundreds of millions of diverse people based on a few bad eggs among "their group."
If my sexuality is relevant to the conversation then I'm going to mention it for context. I'm not rubbing anyone's nose in it and you're either homophobic if you think so or you've been around some seriously annoying lgbt people and that's your problem, not mine.

It's really not that hard to be respectful and it's not hard to realize people are individuals, not minion clones of some group. If you have a problem with either, why yes you're an asshole. But not cuz you identify with some group. You're an asshole on your own merits.

I feel that some people are trying too push for acceptance and others are strongly rejecting but both are forming their opinions based on emotional response  and not logical one.

Ya man definitely. It broke my heart I couldn't take my ex home as my dad is a homophobe for holidays.

MA would always fix her a plate to take home. I want her to come home with me to meet the few people I also care about. I know it hurt her a lot. :frown:

I personally don't like any kind of pda. Think it's called. All though of course I like to hand hold. Occasionally.

99.9% of the LGBT community doesn't give a fuck what I think, you speak for them?

If you don't give a single fuck what anyone thinks then why would you give a fuck what "everyone assumes" must be normal and try to enforce "normalcy" on you. Who cares what other people think? Don't you realize those statements are contradictory?

I never gave a fuck what people thought growing up and I still don't. I don't care if my opinions are unpopular.
The point is that EVERYONE has problems with "society" telling them to be this or do that or think this way. Yes, even straight white males.
I have no problems saying fuck your normal and I don't have to abide by your rules. I also don't feel the need to air my secrets and sexual proclivities to society, because that's no one elses business. But that's just a preference I guess.

This isn't 1950. There's not gays being mobbed in the street (last I checked anyway) or thrown off rooftops, in the west. I don't see assaults at the nationwide Pride parades?
Last I checked, pretty much every mainstream media source and higher institution in the west was already shoving LGBT diversity down everyone's throats 24/7 for the past 5-10 years.
So I fail to see this 'everyone is against us' mentality. Where's all this bigotry? Montana?

Yeah, maybe my perspective is skewed, living in Southern California, one of the more diverse human places on earth
Hell, I lived in West Hollywood for a few years. I lived with and hung out with and was surrounded by flaming homos (their own labels, not mine..) and lesbians for a while, I didn't see any discrimination, except against each other. But yeah, that's gayville. 'Freaks' are normal here, and no one gives a shit.

Also the whole "everyone minding their own fucking business" goes both ways -
Not everyone needs to know or gives a fuck what your sexuality or preferences are. There's no need to proclaim it to the world.
And if you do feel the need to flaunt it and proclaim it to the world, then don't get upset if people have different opinions. If you put it out there, it's not "your own business" anymore and people WILL interject their opinions/beliefs whatever.

Minding your own business is also, not telling all your business to people who don't care and trying to make your business their business.

I just don't see why people feel the need to proclaim their sexuality all the time, really, no one cares. And if you make it a big deal, well then so will some other people.

I said this same shit to my flaming gay friends. And some of them agreed with me, but some of them don't care and just want to flaunt it and be as flamboyant as humanly possible so the whole world knows.. whatever floats your boat I guess.

But yeah, it's not a big deal, it's 2018. 99% of western society is already on board "with the LGBT agenda".
At least where I live. Maybe you live in a place that lynches gays in the street, I dunno.. but I don't know of any such places in America..
even in the Bible belt where you'd assume most of the gay bashers are, I found a lot of tolerant and accepting people there. So I don't know what you guys are talking about really.
Unless you are going off some backwoods gumbo-eater you met in the swamps of Louisiana one time.
And the people that say otherwise, their opinions don't fucking matter... right??? I thought we didn't care what people thought.

For some people, being around gay people makes them uncomfortable like "are they going to hit on me? Check me out? Make me feel uncomfortable?".

In an ide society, everyone would be super comfortable no matter what. But in most societies, theres a degree of "discomfort" with other peoples lifestyles.
