I personally love all cats and doggos. Wild animals scare the fuck out of me. I can't deal with it. I've dealt with it as a kid and it terrified me. Shit i've ran into deer pretty recently. Let me pass I mean no harm to you.

I did get the water dragon from a pet shop that was gonna euthanize him. He was born with a leg deformity but he had no trouble climbing and hunting. Had him for about a year. Think the little guy got bit by a mealworm and then the mouth rot set in. Tube fed him and had him on antibiotics but I think it was just too late.

I dunno if I'll take in anymore handicapped animals either. Just seem to have really bad luck with high maintenance pets.


Think in the case of most animals they're better off not being our pets. Better off bein out in nature being all majestic and elusive and shit. Or being food for something else majestic and elusive and shit.


I've considered getting a lizard as they are usually on sale from your local pet shops. The only thing that really stops me is the cost of setting him or her up a home. lizards are cool i also wouldn't want to carry around a bunch of crickets. I had a frog once and one of the crickets were too big and ate him from the inside out. :lol:


If you get a reptile don't get them from a pet shop. They're inbred and kept in bad conditions (which is probably why my water dragon was deformed) they also don't age and sex them well so when you buy them full grown they're as likely to die in 6 months as not. My brother got his bearded dragon from a pet shop and the poor little guy just had all kinds of health problems. He was being housed with so many other lizards they literally buried him. He died in a couple months too.

Buy a reptile from a reputable breeder or better yet adopt one from a shelter :thumbup: Alot of shelters or "foster" homes will give you equipment for free too.



Side note I did file a complaint with Petsmart about how their anoles were being housed and how unhealthy they looked and the next time I went in they were being treated alot better and looked much healthier. Think alot of it is just pure ignorance from the employees.

I worked at petco once the animals barely moved and looked unhealthy.

Dogs number 1
Any species that could be considered primates for number 2, them being intelligent and also similar to us in a lot of ways makes them fascinating to me. I would never hold any of them if I had the opportunity or get anywhere near them though, I just think they're extremely interesting.

Interesting. Did not know that. I'm currently looking for work but will never work at a pet store. They suck at animals.
