My friend's dad (a practicing surgeon when I knew him and heard this) was a very smart and very eccentric dude.  He clains to have been abducted by these aliens and their base was the moon.  I really can't do his story any dignity but it was pretty elaborate and the only time I've ever believed someone saying shit like that.  He said Apollo 13 was carrying nukes and was disabled by them.

Mostly because of who told me and how much he believed it.  Plenty of people have told me crazy shit but this guy was different.  I guess I also just don't think it's that unbelievable.
