God bless government supply surpluses

My step dad called me to help him move some stufff at the Ottawa airport today. Told me he won the bid of a lot of surpluses.

We got:

- 5 computer chairs, 2 of them are worth at least 75$ the other maybe 50$ some total value of the chairs, maybe 300$

- Office dividers. It's going to go for scrap metal. I don't know how much it'll bring in

- A cork board that I will put behind my dartboard

- A white board to write on with markers. I guess a few bucks. It's really big and in good condition. Maybe we can get like 25$ for it.


Guess how much for paid for the lot?

Nope. But I think I found myself another side business.

Customs seize a bunch of shit and stores them right here in Ottawa. They have pens right up to luxury boats they probably seized from coke dealers. A fuck ton of cars too. Maybe I'll get lucky and find cash hidden in an item. Just like today. A 2$ coin fell ouf of one of the chairs (go figure).

How much time and effort does it take to cart all that junk home, then sell it and haggle with other trash collectors?

I don't know, 30 minutes to load it all up.

An hour to take pics and post on kijiji then it's just phone calls and being home hen the guy gets here.
