Hello from Texas * 1
    #25104208 -

Hello everyone,

New guy from Texas (I'm sure there are plenty of other Texans on the board. :P).

Been reading for a while now, finally decided to make an account as not having one was blocking me from seeing some things.

I'm not sure if I'll be posting much at first because I can find every question I've thought of so far by just using search.

I plan on starting my first grow next week.  Spores are on their way.

Thanks!
Dagr

Welcome Dag, there is quite a few Texans around here, I'm in Florida.
Good luck on your first grow, and remember that most first grows fail because people want to innovate and experiment instead of following instructions exactly.
For the first grow, do not try anything outside the instruction, learn to grow properly, then do your experiments afterwards. Plenty of time.

Thanks for using the search functions!
Click the link in my signature, it will help you a lot for the first grow.

See you around.

I'm currently living in ft worth. I want to go back to the Rockies but need more monies. Been waiting for the thc to get flush out so I can pass a dot screen & I will be back in West Texas again, the worst fucking part, but I can average $25/hr and get 80-110 hours a week working in the water transfer division of fracking.

From what I've heard you should avoid Austin at all costs.  If you can't we can get you in touch with the head of the Texas mob.

Thanks everyone.  I don't live in one of the bigger cities, and I try to stay away from them if I can.  I'm a small town kid.

Thanks Tmethyl.  I'm using the original PF Tek.  I know, I know using an SGFC would give me bigger yields but I don't really have the option of growing out in the open right now.

The only steps I'm going to deviate from the tek is using a SAB for inoculation and the dunk and roll.  Otherwise, I'm just going to see how everything goes.

I've got a couple syringes coming, so if I mess up my first attempt I'll take a step back and reassess.  Maybe try a monotub after studying up on that for a while.

I'm also using bottled water for everything because I live in limestone country.  Massive levels of bicarbonates in the water.  I have no idea what it would do to fungi but I know that grass doesn't like it, nor does 99% of aquarium plants.  The PH of our tap water is about the same as ocean water.  Other than that it's really clean I've heard.

Do you know anything of the Texas syndicate,  a major criminal organization operating in your state?

No more than anyone else that's read about prison gangs.  I've never hung around the types of people that would have anything to do with gangs.  I've never even personally known a gang member of any group.

Yeah, the first time I tried cubes was in college in San Marcos that were locally sourced.  I'd have no idea where to look now though.
