no.  therefore, any good muslim would not be fanatical in his/her beliefs and not follow every letter of quran law to the nth degree.

the quran simply needs a new testament and islam simply needs a reformation to be the equivalent of non-fanatical christianity.

i think all religion is silly, but to each his or her own as long as they harm me/society not.  obviously the great, vast majority of muslims fall into this category.

the old testiment doesnt say to spread judaism by the sword. infact, you arent even really supposed to convert to judaism if you arent a jew. non jews can go to heaven as long as they follow 7 basic moral rules. paul the apostle did begin trying to convert gentiles but he did not teach us to spread our beleifs with the sword. Mohammad did however.

and that teaching is the reason for islamic terrorism.

the punnishment for apostasy is death first of all. second of all they arent always truly taught about their religion. they just do what their parents tell them. third they are told by leftists that anyone who has a problem with their religon is a racist sexist bigot homophobe that you should just ignore. its not always easy.

plus alot of islamic terrorists are mentally ill or mentally challenged and are wound up by islamists who want them to do their dirty work. they are told to fear allah and they are told that they may or may not get into heaven if they are live a good life but if they die in jihad its gaurenteed.

keep in mind there is an inbreeding problem in the muslim community. inbreeding can make them less mentally capeable and more likely to be taken advantage of. alot of these people need help. plenty of muslims have malevolent intentions but some of them are being taken advantage of and some of them were raised in the west, werent raised in a mosque and dont acctually know much about the life of mohammad. thats my opinion.
