China to compel Saudi Arabia to accept yuan instead of US dollars for oil.

If the US dollar loses it's status as the global reserve currency, it's going to be quite a change away from US hegemony.

No longer will they be able to wield it as a weapon against independence from US influence. 

Another crack in the empire? 

China, the largest global oil importer, is putting pressure on the Saudis to accept yuan for its oil exports to Beijing

Interesting, I wonder what concession we'll give them to keep this from happening.

Let them keep expanding in the South China Sea?

Let them take back Taiwan?

The Petro Dollar as we know it is going away as the US can't micromanage the whole world when it comes to accepting the US dollar for oil.

Russia, China, Iran and others are going in another direction and there isn't anything the US can do to stop it.

All I can say to US citizens, be prepared.

I don't really understand how China could compel Saudi against America.

Couldn't the Americans just out compel them?  America is presently enabling the Saudis to starve children in Yemen, couldn't they just say to not sell to China at all or else they'll have to stop starving innocent people to death?

That might do it.

The demand for US dollar will obviously be much weaker and the need to hold those dollars will be less desirable.

Even if this starts off small in numbers, people will see the trend and that will spell trouble for the future of the Petro dollar.

Now when you add this to the $20 trillion of Federal debt and tax cuts that are going to explode the debt for the next decade, we can see what's going to happen. This doesn't even include what happens when asset prices (stocks, bonds and real estate) come back down to reality.

There's no reason why China or Russia needs to use the US dollar for oil transactions, when China buys oil from Iran and Saudi Arabia, paying them with US dollars is making less and less sense to them.

The US has lost control of the Middle East and its ability to micro manage the Petro Dollar scam, I would say 40 years was a pretty good run, but all good things come to an end. :shrug:

No, I meant for everything.  Like, if you wanna buy or sell something to or from a U.S. based entity, the transaction must be made in USD.

The death of the dollar has been predicted throughout my lifetime which goes way before the hyperinflation days of the 70's. It's going to fall apart someday, but I don't think it will be soon. The U.S. is by far the major player in the world economy and if we go down everyone else goes down, which is why we are going to stay propped up.

The US is one of the worlds largest oil producers, so most of these transactions are going to remain in USD anyways.

China holds tons of USD denominated debt, so they have no interest in seeing the value of dollar collapse.

China has been trying to buy up land and create their own currency, for awhile- they are globalist to the max- they see a stable future in America, and abroad, and the Saudi's are obviously a major boon to their economy, for the sake of more land, of course.
