I'm glad that one of the American administrations has finally realized that having our main Middle East base in a country thats one of the biggest supporters of anti-west terrorism is probably not a good thing.
Now I just wonder, why the fuck did we sink like, 100Mil into building a brand spanking new air base there?

Have you heard the term, 'Military Industrial Complex?' How about 'Political Cronyism?'
-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

Yeah. We spent some insane amount of money a few years back to build a Combined Air Operations Center south of Riyadh. I'll post a link when I can find the elusive little thing....

Heres a quote from the International Herald Tribune.....Not paste-able..Damn copyrighters...
The United States has approximately 5,500 troops based at Prince Sultan, a sprawling tract of desert that was little more than an air strip during the Gulf War, when Americans began spending hundreds of millions of dollars to transform it into one of its largest bases of operations in the Middle East.

Its about fucking time we left. We protect their resources and they finance terror, but do we criticize them? Do we say anything about Wahhabism? Do we call them out on human rights viollations? How about the abscence of religious freedom? How about the plight of women and their abscence of rights? I think they are a much worthier of a "hit" than Iraq, there are actual reasons to attack them other than oil, which makes me wonder who might be next, because Syria doesnt have that much oil.

No, Saddam Hussein most certainly DID invade Saudi Arabia...For about a day, before he got his ass whooped....i think the deepest penetration was 8 miles?

I didnt say that anything contrary to what I think was faked and I am offended. I should clarify however. After shitloads of our troops were there, he did (saddam) little penetrations to test the Americans, like in Khafji (sp?). This hardly constitutes an invasion, and as it was said he got his ass "whooped" What I was referring to was the photos the Americans showed the Saudis of Iraqi forces massing on the border of Saudi Arabia, which were later admitted to be faked.

Bin Laden sure seems to be getting his way lately. He's forever changed the American way of life after 9/11, Saddam is out of power, the U.S. is moving out of Saudi Arabia, and we still can't find him(and we don't even seem to be trying anymore).

How are you saying that he's changed American life? I see no changes in my day to day living. I'm not saying you wrong, just asking for examples...And He'll be happy Saddam is out of power, but he wont be happy unless the government replacing him is a Theocratic Islamic State, which wont happen.

Well, people are seem to be more afraid of terror nowadays, and more willing to give up their rights in order to feel safe. People are also more afraid to speak out against their government's actions, lest they be labeled a traitor.

It'll probably be either that or a U.S. puppet government, in which case there'll be even more people pissed off at America and joining Al Queda.

I wish I could say you were wrong. Its painful to say. The U.S. cant afford to hold REAL elections, because a radical muslim would win. Ouch. Now you have me thinking...
