Any Stargate fans?

I loved SG1 back in the day, and I watched through most of Atlantis I believe. I really liked Universe too and was really sad they didn't get a 3rd season.

Anyways I just started reading the Stargate comics which I have been meaning to check out for awhile.

They made a comic continuation of where season 2 of Stargate Universe ends which is why I decided to check them out.

Going to have to go back and re watch the shows eventually as it's been awhile.

Fuck yes. SG1 is the best show ever.

They should not have cancelled Universe.

Only Atlantis for me, that was a killer show. Great villains.


I watched a few seasons of sg1 but was still pretty lukewarm on it when I left off, and I think they don't have any stargate shows on netflix here right now.

Apparently this year they actually started a web series reboot called Stargate Origins. Wiki says season 1 comes out "fall 2017" with 10 minute episodes :strokebeard:

SG-1 is pretty old so it might be harder to get into with all the modern big budget sci fi's coming out.

I remember even watching it years ago it was pretty grainy but I thought the plot and action made it worth watching.

They have some comics for SG-1 and Atlantis :strokebeard:

There were 3 distinct series and they all had several seasons so that's a pretty huge generalization :lol:  There are like 350 or so episodes from all 3 series.

Honestly I remember enjoying the movie but thinking the shows were a lot deeper. Especially Atlantis and Universe, SG-1 was just classic.

Thats kinda how I feel. I wanna check out "Universe", sounds interesting. I wish the TV show was more like the movie.

Dude... I was a big fan of Stargate Universe when it came out. Was very unhappy with them canceling the show and ending the story the way they did.

Okay... so, I've never seen Atlantis but I have seen the original movie and SG-1 the original series. The movie, which I'm sure we've all seen, can be a tad slow because of when it was made, but still has a lot of great concepts and decent actors. SG-1 to me, is the standard of which all stargate shows should be held to. Good actors... good story... They really went deeper into the possibilities of the stargate with this show but it still feels a little outdated to me, which was what I really loved about Stargate Universe. I watched it when they were airing it, and it felt like a fresh take on the whole stargate thing. It had new faces, a new storyline... it even had a decent soundtrack if I remember correctly. I feel like the cast for this series was better than any other stargate series the've done. Some of the worlds and problems they face are really interesting but I think the show may have lost itself somewhere, with no clear direction or obvious destination. I mean, they are just sort of drifting through space going further then anyone has ever gone besides 'the Ancients'.

Anyways, it's been a few years since I've seen the show so a lot of the details are cloudy but I remember really enjoying it  and would recommend to anyone who loves stargate.

I only read some of the earlier comics so far, going to re watch the movie and shows before I read the rest as it's been awhile since I saw them.

The first few comics are alright, they are a bit older so its not the best or worse art. The ones I read were set right after the movie I think and dealt with more Egyptian aliens.

Has anyone watched Stargate Continuum? Or Stargate Arch Of Truth? They are 2 other movies that both came out in 2008, they have slightly better ratings then the original movie :strokebeard:
