orange spot?

Has anyone ever had a slight orange coloring on your cakes before birthing? I can't tell if it's a contam or just the myc mixing in w/ the brown substrate. It only has a 1 in. diameter and the jar is about 70% colonized w/ thick healthy mycelium. Any ideas?

the myc piss stuff gets a orange tint sometimes....youll know if its a contam...give it a few days and it will take over...youll notice a bad smell to when you birth it, but dont breath it in directly...whaft the air

yup i think it's just "myc piss" as you called it. It's been 3 days I think and it hasn't gotten any bigger. Thanks for your help man. Oh, by the way, what exactly is the mycelium excreting if it is "myc piss?"

It's a byproduct resultant of its metabolism. I really don't know about the chemical composition.
