I Ching in Practice: How To Swim Like A Boss. * 1
    #24396267 -

I have just been swimming, to greatly hilarious effect.

I was experimenting with brazen confidence, taking epic splash dives in the pool (you can bet your ass epic, I weigh about 365 lbs, I'm sumo-sized.) by literally letting myself fall flat on my face into the water, alternating with falling flat in a straight angle backward into the water while completely ignoring any and all negative feedback on the inside and outside.

All too soon this resulted in a whole bunch of people of all ages cheering it, joining in on it, giving highfives and all that hilarious stuff that is balm on the wounds of a lifelong outcast with formerly crippling social and body dysmorphic anxiety disorders.

Interestingly but not surprisingly it was especially favored by Muslims, who subconsciously recognized in it the complete hesitationless prostration they themselves practice daily, except then to the extreme of a straight flat fall.

What I rediscovered is that if you let yourself fall with fear and resistance in your heart, it will hurt like hell but when you let yourself fall with love and surrender, it is painless.

By the time I hit the water every single muscle of my body was in relaxation.

There were a few macho tough guys half my age and half my weight who took it as a challenge, but they pussied out.  :trololol:

Its so unnatural to literally drop dead, you have to be either sociopathic or trained in meditation to not flinch or contort in the last moment.

I Ching had advised me before I went, that when you brazenly but not foolheartedly act out, people will take it as you taking the lead and they cannot help but follow you in. Natural leadership by example.

I put it to the test and holy wow, that's a powerful truth there. It resonated with dozens of people, from literally infants up to the elderly.

I go on regular 24-36 hour meditation sessions where I get in trance so deep that at times trance reality completely replaces consensus reality and I have visions with wide open eyes replacing the lit room while my mind is in such strong synesthesia that every sense is blended over in every other one, while spirits pour out their hearts to me, make me experience how they lived and how they died, while Gods watch over me and my Nkondi sits in judgement over me like the Sensei in the Dojo.

I have no business being afraid.

Courage seperates the boys from the men, and its never too late to gear up and become one.

I have a question. How do you properly consult the i ching for receiving the best possible advice and guidance? I've only dealt with online, "digital" i chings, where you throw the coins virtually while keeping a question or scenario in mind.

A few months ago when at the bookstore I actually came across a hard copy of the I ching which seemed to have just been left out in a certain way for me to "discover." In other words, all the other books were stocked properly on the shelves, and this book was the only one that was separated from the rest of the books and was facing me. I looked at it for a few minutes but could not really understand how to use it.

I really wanted to purchase that copy of the i ching, it was the only one left and it seemed like I should have bought it when I saw it, but I did not.

thanks for the help. I don't want to learn how to "swim like a boss" though, I am ready to fly because my life is too mundane, plain, and ordinary. Nothing every exciting or good happens to me ever. And the person that I loved more than anything set me up and used my family against me and turned all of society and also my relations against me.

          Fire over wood:
          The image of the Caldron.
Thus the superior man consolidates his fate
          By making his position correct.

Changing yin at the bottom means:
          A ting with legs upturned.
          Furthers removal of stagnating stuff.
One takes a concubine for the sake of her son.
          No blame.

Changing yang in the third place means:
The handle of the ting is altered.
One is impeded in his way of life.
The fat of the pheasant is not eaten.
Once rain falls, remorse is spent.
Good fortune comes in the end.

Changing yang at the top means:
The ting has rings of jade.
          Great good fortune.
Nothing that would not act to further
