I fed my lizard edibles

My friend is on a trip and asked me to watch his gecko that's kinda been cycling through our circle of peers. First off, geckos live up to 15 years. Like why the fuck would you put that type of investment in a retarded lizard? I guess its cool to look at but you know that the only way its going to die is because you fucked it up. Which leads me to the issue at hand...

About a week ago I made medicated fruit roll-ups. They were quite dank. So, naturally I decided to throw a couple tiny chunks in the lizards cage so he could enjoy the ride with me. He was uninterested with it, until tonight. I left the chunks on a stick in the top of the cage and a couple hours ago I saw him walking along said stick. I guess he's probably hungry enough to eat them now and that's just what he did.

I really wonder what its like to be stoned as a lizard. I wonder if he's enjoying it. He seems pretty chill. Just sitting on his rock like he always does. Seems kind of wired though. I'll probably feed him the best fucking worm he's ever had right now.

Anyway, how do you guys feel about the widely considered inhumane practice of getting your pets high? When my dog was having seizures before he died I was feeding him wax, and I think it helped.

But was this a dick move? Cause I kinda feel like a dick for getting my lizard high.

My mates bearded dragon, used to like eating buds of peng, it wouldn't touch barnyard or sticklefritz lol, and that things doing well.

I think raw buds gonna be a lot different to edibles tho. Cuz dont you have to activate the chemicals by processing it first before it works orally.
That's what I thought anyhow.

As long as you help the gecko thru it and dont sell him out I think karma may be on your side.

First, your title is a lie.  You didn't feed YOUR lizard anything.  You fed SOMEONE ELSE'S lizard edibles. To put it more accurately, you abused your friend's lizard after he trusted you to take care of that lizard.

Ive seen websites claiming that even invertebrates have cannabinoid receptors which would mean that most likely lizards do aswell since invertebrates and verte rates seperated long before reptiles and mamals seperated. Unless for some reason lizards lost cannabinoid receptors or invertebrates and vertebrates drveloped them independantly. Neither seems very likely. Maybe though.

OP your friend trusted you and you drugged his lizard. You're a douche.

Regardless of that fact, it's immoral and unethical to give an animal drugs unless it's for some practical purpose such as pain relief

You shouldn't feed animals something to "see what happens" when you don't know. I've seen animals die horrible painful deaths because their owner accidentally poisoned them.

I've also seen someone feed their bearded dragon a lightening bug. It ate a bunch of sand to try and soak up the burning poison in its belly before it died.
I've seen the little guys choke on substrate. Could easily happen with a gummy fruit roll up too.


Very irresponsible OP.

its a dumb fucking reptile that I monitored to make sure it was fine. It was only high. Get over your fucking annoying self righteousness. He enjoyed his fucking worm. I fed him early. This is the shit that is ruining the world. You know that there are actual animals out there suffering at the hands of man? Millions of them in fact. How bout just the ones in nature? I love animals.
