Fuck I wish I had a set of gills. I'm a strong swimmer and all but I can only dive 20 feet is my max. I love diving I'm disappointed when someone invites me swimming and doesn't bring dving sticks.

The following article goes against what I've concluded personally about climate change:

It's hard to defy rational science, though.
I still believe our impact as humans is far less than proposed by most scientists.

Climatology experts and global warming "experts" are certainly a different breed.

government has always been run like a business. that's a problem. but it's almost unavoidable. people are boorish and greedy.

a true leader does not wish to lead, he does so because he has to.

[as an aside] Trump is more open about his business deals...he is good at rationalizing why the US (and thus his proponents) could 'use these deals', seeing as though he's a business man, this tactic isn't surprising.

and his support all agrees, no establishment but...we need to improve trade, and secure our debts, and beef up manufacturing, and sabre-rattle to keep political control.

Government is not a business and if you think you can run one as a business you will fail. Travel ban is a perfect example of that. Trump thinks he can make decisions and they will be implemented without question. That's not how government works.

Which it essentially is. Its shares trade on the stock market, as a corporate entity. The same way as does the United Kingdom, and presumably by extention, the majority of nations. What is worrying to see is that companies such as Exxon, Walmart, China National Petroleum, are worth more economically than the majority of COUNTRIES in this world, and you start to see why the world is in such a mess.
