Which GeForce brand is the best??

I had a XFX Radeon 6870 for 6 years and a year ago upgraded to Nvidia Asus GTX 750

Hoping to pick up GTX 1080 in a month or 2.

The question is, which brand?  We got

EVGA
Asus
MSI
GIgabyte

The way I see it I should go for Asus... but it's reviews on amazon aren't that great.

Don't know much about evga and gigabyte but I heard MSI uses crappy memories in it...

Hmmmmm decisions decisions...

EVGA is well known for their quality. From power supplies to video cards they are consistent in their top notch quality.

Between those options it's either Gigabyte or EVGA. Both are top of the line for quality and performance. From my own experience, both have good customer service as well. I use a Gigabyte motherboard and most of my other hardware is EVGA.

IMO, you can't go wrong with ASUS either. I like their products just fine. Find the best price point between ASUS, Gigabyte, an EVGA. There are a variety of models. If you plan on getting a fancy one with a dope cooling system I'd suggest EVGA. Their new innovations are always well constructed and simple.

Don't know much but have had great luck with Asus products

Making sure these bored retired hobbyists stay busy during the holidays. Looking through some of them it looks like they Waste so much time and effort on these mediums they should be compensated salaries. Everyone could use some holiday double time ;p

I think I might go for Gigabyte, it's cheaper and has 3 fans so runs cooler :shrug:

Thing about these cards , some have 1 fan some have 2 some have 3

The more fans there are is cooler air thro the cards right??

I don't LRG, EVGA recently did a recall because of faulty heat spreader plates or the contact with the chip on them, anyway. Thermal pads or something.

ASUS and MSI definitely the A-team. Gigabyte next, then whatever's cheapest from there.

My choice was gigabyte..... sales website looks amazing but there customer care is appaling. Customer care site for s shit and I left a support ticket few days ago and they still haven called back.

Maybe I should get Asus...

My question was: there's a 8 pin power plug on the 1080, what I want to know do I need to attach PSU to this port or it draws all energy from PCI
