That's why I'm looking forward to watching Amerigeddon. It's made by patriots and based on the real deal, not antiquated cold war shit from the 80s.

I did indeed. Olympus Has Fallen, although being another shitty Hollywood propaganda movie, was at least a better production.

I didn't watch the remake, however as a teen I thoroughly enjoyed the original.

I also recently watched an episode of China Uncensored, which mentioned this movie. The video is fairly entertaining:

It's not so much the content of the message as the quality of the movie itself, which was a severely under-budgeted and half-assed effort. The acting is so terrible. The storyline is garbage. Cliche after cliche. Just awful. It's like a Walker Texas Ranger apocalypse parallel, made for TV movie.

It's one of those movies you watch just to have a good laugh and critique the various cheese layers.

Never seen any Kirk Cameron flicks. Amerigeddon to me felt like if that show 7th Heaven had a militia group side plot.
