I wouldn't recommend it I know hepas are expensive but I think 6 inches is the bare minimum but don't quote me ... look up the astrocel aaf on there here is the one I bought for 65 https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23178319 that's the link to how I built it it's not pretty bit it's pulled me through a ton of agar and jar work that's not even the recommended size and the blower I got for free it was off a furnace the plastic tote helped with the right amount of air

http://m.ebay.com/itm/Flanders-Alpha-2000-24-x-24-x-11-5-High-Capacity-HEPA-Filter-99-97-/162113396510?nav=SEARCH I forgot I deleted pics but here's one basically go look at the filters and find the specs you want around 1" s.p at 500cfm that motor will work good I think that was the motor I was going to buy but didn't have the 300

That filter you linked is a 11.5" inch thick one which would need twice the cfm of a 6" (from what I've read)
I love your build link! Defiantly will look to that when I start the construction my friend!

Mine is 24x24x11.5 same as that I believe the 1tdt8 was the one I was going to buy for sure what you do is find the specs of the filter nine was 2000 at 1.4 sp so iT was like .3-.4 at 500 cfm then you find a motor to match that

Mines 1 sp at 584 cfm
& I don't get how if the filter was at 2000 cfm @ 1.4 sp, how do you come up with .3-.4 sp @500cfm?
Wouldn't your blower have to blow 2000 cfm @ 1.4 sp to match the filter???

No that is the maximum potential that's the test flow for the filter you don't have to push that much air out of it but if you wanted to that's as much as you could push you ever have a system in your car? Most say 1600 watt or 800 watt peak power on the amps or subs but that's peak you'll never be pushing that many watts it's the same thing ... so you just get a blower rated at whatever cfm at water column you want to push just like your blower it's max is 797 and 542 or whatever it will not blow more air but you can adjust the air flowing to match your needs that is the specs for that motor you see how the cfm goes down at each point of static pressure? You match those to the filter but basically you can forget all that really it does not have to be perfect as long as its close and your box is air tight and have enough room for the air in the plenum to build up pressure it will work that's why people use cardboard or a bucket lid or in my case a plastic tub to bog down the air flow. It's better to get a filter with a higher rating and blower for when it starts getting clogged it will still push out the amount you need trust me I over thought it and drove myself crazy for weeks  I built it then just kept cutting the hole bigger till the lighter bent any where from 60-90°
