How fair is life? How hard is life?
    #23014121 -

We don't go on epic journeys to find strange new lands with the risk that we might fall right off the planet.. but is it truth that our lives aren't epic?

I'm thinking about that movie Wall-E right now, the movie that takes place in the future when everyone is attached to moving chairs and life is simply eating food and watching television. That seems like a comfortable life. I mean, it seems like there is not a necessarily gaping hole in these people's lives to do something hard, to do MORE. Is there?

I know for me personally, I've had the comfortable life.. I once spent 6 months in my parent's basement watching television and not doing shit. But eventually, I wiped the popcorn crumbs off my chest and got the fuck up and started living again.

We are all constantly called to action. It's why we travel, why we go to school and get an education, why we become better fathers.

The thing is, we don't get to choose how hard life is most of the time. We can't control a lot of things - the weather, what time we have to be at work, the economy, the momentum of histoy...

There's no select screen at the start of your life where you choose Easy, Novice or Expert. And that can seem Unfair, especially when things are especially hard and your friend of a friend has inherited a million dollars and can focus on creative pursuits. (Now I'm bitching about personal stuff..)

However, there's also this thing that is part of the game called Rewards. And sometimes, hard times offer great rewards. And this is something I've been reflecting a lot on lately. I can't see into the future to see how what I am doing now is going to be rewarding or dissapointing. I can only hope that I will be rewarded and see signs here and there that I am collecting rewards for my efforts.

Joe Rogan, a stand up comedian and podcaster, has a funny bit about rewards. There's risks you can take, like starting a business, which is a big risk and very challenging but if it works out you get a profitable business, a comfortable life and things go well. Then there are things that are just hard but don't have rewards, like climbing Mount Everest. There's no material reward for that - there's no leprechaun at the top of Mount Everest waiting for you with a pot of gold.

But we have different interests, right? Some people pursue material wealth, others pursue character and spirit. Some are doing all three at the same time.

Whenever there's a cold day and I'm just miserable about how cold it is, I think about the people who have to work all day outside in the cold, or the homeless man or woman on the street being sheltered by nothing but a thin blanket and a hooded jacket. It's hard to believe how hard some people have it, for example the child with the rare disease that makes his bones so brittle that they could break just from being shaken lightly.

I also know that my life has been a struggle. And your life has been a struggle. And usually the more of a struggle it's been the greater your heart will be. And aging and getting experience is inevitable. And sometimes I wish I was a baby again or a toddler or a young kid or a teenager because it was easier, but I know in my heart that this is how it should be.

And it's FAIR! Each stage of our lives has different challenges - and when you beat the challenge of that stage you move on to the next one and reep rewards. That seems fair. If life was a game that couldn't be won, a game that was impossible and you couldn't even pass the first stage, well that would be pretty unfair. But life is winnable. And the most fair part of it is that there are different paths to win. Nature has given you whatever you need to succeed.

Each person has their own path. Their "soul" has different goals to learn each lifetime. I think we live in fascinating times - there is still a lot to be discovered in outer space and inner space, lots of insane challenges and games. The boredom of this age is a challenge too, I believe, to get us to stand up and demand better dreams. The violence is a challenge to make peace.

This is a journey, and it's just beginning

Here's a deeper question: how "fair" does life "seem" to you depending on your present moment mood on any given day?

there was this ;sport relief' charity TV thing on TV on Friday. I usually miss these things because they annoy me, but I saw this bit where this guy from one of the soaps goes to an African country and experiences people actually having to scavenge and live on a stinking rubbish tip. Is THAT fair?

The guy who I actually like and is very down to Earth was so upset he said he was ashamed to be a human being, and was crying, and then was the call for money---good, but is that fair? Cause you see the same old crap year after year after year. People having to 'live' like that. What about the ROOTS of the problem that are CAUSING people---usually people of colour--having to live like that?

The world is a fair place, we, as humans, tend to take it too personally. We get the same treatment and chance everything else does. You were born. You will die. That's the extent of the world's obligation. Everything else is up to you our a caretaker. People are unfair by nature, we always want better for ourselves our our family. We strive for betterment, and if not we tend to strive to at least not be alone at the bottom, so we strive to bring others down.

Yet, see how the word strive is always there? It's an effort. This is that rewards system. It's like playing d&d, can't get the fulfillment of reward without the xp, can't get the xp without the adventure.

Sounds cold but it is fair, him and his parents were born equally like me or you, choices by his parents and culture led to where that boy is, but the world owes him nothing.

There are literally entire cities in China that are now garbage dumps of "recycled" electronic stuff.  They are removing gold from chips using Aqua Regia and then just dumping it into the river which now has a pH of 1.0.  It's tragic, yet the self indulgent lazy ass consumers in the US "need" a new IPhone every year.

OP makes some reference to how "we can't control the weather" which is so untrue it's laughable if it wasn't so sad.  The only thing true in this regard is the level of weather modification what has reached ridiculous heights of stupidity.  When was the last YEAR in which we had ONE hurricane batter Florida???  Riddle me that one, as folks like Warren Buffett make billions from insurance against hurricanes that are being prevented from hitting the US coast year after year.  They the weather controllers can put up high pressure now anywhere they want to make fronts steer where they want or stay away from the coast.

How fair is it that Warren Buffett and the other folks that make $$ from weather modification programs that spray aerosols daily and use electromagnetic and microwave transmitters that clearly have an adverse effect on the planet, the plants, the ocean, the animals, and of course all us poor humans?  Does that seem fair?  Oh yeah that's right, there is no weather control, so why am I even bringing it up.

OP you were right to move out of parents basement, look up at the poisoned sky and maybe try to help in the fight against our demise instead of pretending all is well.

Honestly, I need to do more to save the world. I go through periods of apathy and periods of intense feelings of responsibility and need for action.

I have researched chemtrails and weather modification and I haven't done enough. I buy orgonite materials for myself but haven't made any for others but it is not expensive to make them and I should.

I have tried and I suppose I should try again, and it looks like I have believed my own lies because it's just too hard to convince family and friends what kind of horrible, horrible things are ahead of us - nobody believes me when I talk of the upcoming economic collapse or that we are in the most profound extinction event since the ice age or that the media is legally allowed to lie to us.

It's not fun to have everybody think you are crazy because your perspective is not based on the mainstream media-influenced paradigm - but I'm sure you can relate.

Yesterday on what would have otherwise been a beautiful clear day with blue skies, the aerosol planes went back and forth laying out these monster trails.  As I sat with people at a public place and everyone just plain ignored the spectacle of them being poisoned, after a few hours I asked "so what do you all think about these clouds (ha ha)"?

One guy kind of bowed his head and admitted he ignored them because he thinks he's more likely to be poisoned from nearby Hanford and that was enough for him to "deal with".  I mean it was fucking pathetic.

As Dane from geoengineeringwatch points out, fully 75% of the economy is based on the ecology, and the earth is truly dying.  I watch the hungry birds desperate for food fly up the river and don't even hit the water.  Ducks way upstream hoping to catch fish that are dying.  The insect count is way way down.  Even the spiders are dying.  Even the spiders.

Yeah, it's sad but why bother trying to "educate" the idiot masses. It's a hope but probably not a great idea on several levels including risk of persecution and worse.  "They" are going to take away the guns and rights of anyone who is a conspiracy theorist or any kind of terrorist according to whatever definition applies today.  That definition will become more and more expansive, you can bet on that.

Hey man I am with you fully. Please do not go crazy because you think you are not doing enoug. We are all in our way trying to do stuff, and any even little bit we can do contributes. THE most important thing is to know there is a problem and that we feel a pain about it. of course not all the time, but to feel. it is like say having a family member or friend who is suffering. We hopefully will feel compassion, and try what we can to help ease their suffering, but not ALL the time. WE also need space to chill out and have fun, or else we will become ill from too much stress. So please keep your sense of humour, that I feel is very important. And magic mushrooms very help with this!

Can you educate me a little about orgonite materials and why you feel them so important?

Please don't worry if people think you crazy for speaking out about how you feel. This is why seeing through the mental illness myth is so important. because that myth has people paranoid about feeling how they feel and sharing this with others. So to look into that myth undermines its power over us.

Yes #we# have been led through brutal relentless mindcontrol to become more and more dpendent on the technocratic matrix which is growing ever more all around. Poeple with money now have cars that park themselves, etc. People mesmerized by their little hand computers, and watch computers
Soon they will be pressuring us to have this gadgetry inserted into us! You will be made to seem very uncool NOT to want that, and there will be economic pressures to have that too. All this slick push button ( some people are now telling their computers what to do) world ey?
meanwhile people are homeless on our streets and people and families are living on rubbish tips!

A whole myriad diverse  way. IE whatever we need to do cannot be one idea. A mono solution. We are all different and will have our own unique ways of trying to do what we can to change things
Seems to me that the insane mindset that is in 'control' IS mono-minded. It imposes, for example, a mono-culture on the land and on the people. It does not like diversity, but is ultra control freak. This is why people cannot grow natural-growing cannabis even when it is known as a medicine and even as hemp was banned for years. Why it wants us all to eat their GMO controlled food and not even to be able to know which is which via labelling, etc etc
Reason why picking and growing psychedelic fungi is outlawed even though that too is VERY much a medicine and liberator
In the UK 97 percent of wild flower meadows have been destroyed. This mindset is like a cancer that hates wildness and diversity, hate community. And so to undermine it means we must nurture what we have lost, and doing that, I reckon, means understanding how they use mindcontrol via myths, like the mental illness myth, the progress myth, everything that has you in a cage in your head which prevents us feeling a deeper communion with nature
One of the typical things these predator mindsets do is try and not have us looking directly at them and seeing they are cause of most of the unfairness in the world. They rather want to divide and control us and have us barking up wrong trees.

what are your views?

Re: How fair is life? How hard is life? [Re: zzripz]

I'm not being hard on myself, just trying to be honest with myself. I've become so absorbed in my little life that I've ignored my responsibility to be part of this shift of consciousness, to help change the world. I'd like to start getting active again.

Orgonite is pretty cool because it neutralizes electromagnetic pollution. However, it could be a placebo because sometimes I can feel it working on my energy and other times seems to do nothing. I do hold a lot of negativity in my body and perhaps I'm just wearing it out. Most of the spiritual people in my life swear by orgonite and they create big ass orgonite structures that they plant near microwave towers and it lessens the harming effects of this radiation.

My proactiveness is part of the reason I got sent to the mental hospital by my own family. So I've given up with them. They are total believers in the mainstream culture, they don't seek out alternative media and only two have done psychedelics in the past and are 100% that they will never do them again. I don't judge them for that, it's just how it is.

I'm really fucked up right now. My attention span has turned to shit and I'm being absorbed by this matrix. I haven't done psychedelics in a long time too but recently just bought some LSD I'm waiting for the right day to do it.

It's easy as hell to fall back asleep with all this technological momentum. I'm going to get back on the right side. Fuck the microchip.

You don't need to, but to explain my world is far from heartless, I just don't understand why people think that the choices we have made as a culture and as a species has anything to do with nature. Nature is fair, it sets the rules, and we play the game within those rules. The rules are if you are born you get a life. That life will last for all of its days until it is over. Mother nature did not fuck up those Chinese cities or put that child on a trash heap. We did. We unbalanced the scales. We have created unfairness.

I guess my interpretation of "the world" may differ from the OP's meaning. ?.

This is all part of the reason why me and my wife and children live in the woods and do not really participate in much of society. Society is fucked up, unfair, and delusionally blind the what they themselves do to others.

I think the argument is coming more from the angle of people not necessarily having the right resources to make certain changes in their lives, i.e. some are more blessed than others when it comes to their particular "starting line.

For some the idea of saving money and taking a trip "off the grid" is as easy as setting a date and getting some time off. For others, the next meal is all that's on their mind. Even in locations of supposed economic opportunity (say, the US) there are still plenty of homeless or unfortunate.

Still, if you pay attention you'll notice a lot of successful people coming from really dire and unlikely backgrounds. This doesn't discount those who are in truly desolate situations with absolutely no assistance or opportunity whatsoever, of course. Just a little thought.

I agree that there is a great deal of misdirect going on in regards to programming people to believe and feel a certain way about poverty. I still have no idea what could be done in a practical manner. It seems that all solutions are radical relative to what's going on. It's another case of a change too uncomfortable for society to take on as a whole, as sadly people love waxing emotional distress over these topics but will never the less return to their day job to pay taxes, keep the machine going, and ward off their debt.

Thus ultimately, I feel it comes down to a reprograming of mass values before any real change could take place.
