I don't usually post stuff like this but something has been bothering me for years and I need to tell the world and unburden myself.

Has anyone else ever noticed that in 100% of toothpaste commercials on TV the actor/model/celeb or whatnot does not EVER actually use toothpaste when they "brush" their teeth??? Perhaps they know something we don't about fluoride and whatever chemical cocktail goes into those products.. But never a speck, not a fleck of foam or a drop of liquid, when they do the routine slo-mo open-lipped grin thing and "brush" their teeth. Nothing pouring out their mouth and over their chin (calm down) and CERTAINLY never a spit, perhaps they swallow...?

The bristles don't bend either, although this needs more research, there could be rare cases out there so be vigilant, be safe and Godspeed.

**Mouthwash is an entirely different subject and product, they often relish the spitting money shot. So to avoid confusion let's keep that out of the storm of debate and opinions that will no doubt ensue as we devour this topic.**

Is it a universal phenomena, or does toothpaste appear in any deranged, and frankly, dangerous and unhinged parts of the world?

I imagine everyone is too busy out forming organised angry mobs to reply straight away, good for you, we need action on this vital issue. If we ignore these things then they will eventually lead to advertising we don't all love and adore. Imagine if that were the case and commercials became merely a total fucking annoyance and you actually wore out the mute buttons on 2 consecutive TV's because of it?

No one wants to live in a world with advertising that isn't classy, witty, urbane and stimulating on every intellectual level.

No, they are in immaculate alphabetical order and labelled to perfection. How you arrange your tapes, anarchist??

I have the TV on in the background depending where I am, I certainly don't have money for cable/sattelite/netflix etc. I torrent any shows I genuinely care about so never see commercials during anything I wanna pay attention to. Bit of a news junky and live in middle of nowhere with no car at the moment. Also winter in the UK so inside a fair amount of the time.

You are avoiding the key issue and a slap in the face to all tooth-brushers.

its usually quite subtle, and thats how they get away with it.
