[BREAKTHROUGH] LIMB REGENERATION!

Watch the clip and tell me why this hasn't received more attention... This is the type of thing I expect to hear all over the news.
It's actually regeneration of a fingertip, by the way. But, a perfect one at that. And the US army is going to be testing it out on war vets.

It's totally fucking awesome, duuuuuuude! I bet it's pretty cheap to refine this too... I mean it was made from pig bladders for Christ's sake. I read elsewhere that they wash the biological material down with some type of detergent until all of the cells are gone, but the structure, made up of proteins and such, still remains.
And the "powder" that was used by the man in this video was simply a powdered version of that same type of structure. They liken it to scaffolding for cells.
It's amazing how this guy's body knew to create a perfect finger and not just some wannabe stub finger.

This isn't a breakthrough, it's just a bunch of tissue, so he basically grew a really big callice. I'll be surprised when he grows a thumb.

I remember seeing some shit where pretty soon we'll be able to 'print' hearts and other organs. By using single cell placement. The simulation looked a lot like a normal printer. It was wikkid.

Ya, now that's a tech with some possible future. The basic machine is called a "fabber" (ie fabrication).

That's very cool, but I don't see them regrowing bone anytime soon. Still it has many uses that will make a lot of people happy.

Is this similar to the recent scientific breakthrough with (if I remember correctly) a pig's heart?

I'm disappointed. Now that we can re-grow limbs, there'll be no use for robotic limbs.

Great potential here. I really hope that this is a viable, affordable solution to injured war vets, and beyond.
