Dropbox or email for large files
    #22899487 -

I'm having someone send me scratch tracks.  They can't send them through my yahoo account and asked that I send my Dropbox or a different email that accepts larger files.  I downloaded Dropbox but can't figure out how to send my Dropbox to them..

Can someone help me out or tell me of an email service that allows for larger files?

Put files in a folder inside your dropbox folder
Right click on that folder
Select 'share' option
Enter email address of person you'd like to invite to that folder.

If all fails, try one of the file transfer services such as wetransfer.com

They asked for my dropbox through email...I created a shared file in dropbox with their email.  Is that right?  Sorry if I'm sounding like an idiot, I've never used dropbox before.

Yes, that should do the trick  (assuming you mean a shared folder; I'm not sure if you can share individual files). What happens when you share a folder with someone and they accept the invitation, the folder is duplicated to their Dropbox. Any changes (additions, edits and deletions) will be kept up to date on both copies (so in your Dropbox as well as theirs) until you stop sharing the folder.

Another way of sharing files through Dropbox is by placing them in your public folder. Anyone can access it there without invitation as long as they have a link to the file. You can get the link by right clicking any file in your public folder.

For a one time transfer of a large file, a service like wetransfer is more practical. If you work on a collaborative project and need to edit and add files as you work together, Dropbox is the better choice.
