As I question this reality I start to wonder why--wonder why Pass away the time with mental masturbation for a while--for a while And do the things we do still mean a goddamn thing when we die--when we die And what's a man to do when he has come to see it's all a lie--all a lie
If you try to understand this life You will find that the answers are undefined--undefined
Is it better to know the truth or just be happy in a lie--in a lie And what does truth mean anyway? Does it exist? I can't decide--can't decide From what I've figured out the truth is just a bit like suicide--suicide But I guess it doesn't matter. In the end we all will die--we will die
If you try to understand this life You will find that the answers are undefined--undefined

Do you play guitar, or just sing?
If you do both, just plug into the ole' computer. Peace.

I do both, but I really don't like the shitty recording quality you get on a computer without professional recording equipment. Besides, I uninstalled Cakewalk cuz it was taking up too much space on my hard drive.

You can get pretty decent quality if you have a direct input for your guitar and maybe a good microphone... The direct input really fucking helps.
I think there is some site somewhere that might work, but I haven't checked it out myself yet, so who knows.. its in my favorites, so I will just send the link (no promises): VITAMINIC
It should work, I guess. *shrugs* Peace.

Ok here it is:

It's a shitty recording, and I fucked up on some parts, but it should give you some idea of how it's supposed to go.

I have no frame of reference for judging this, becuse i have never heard amature rock music before. So what i am doing is the equivalent of comparing an average cafateria freestyle to big pun ( i guess thats only a valid reference if you had cyphers in the cafiteria of your high school, but whatever)
anyways, I didnt like it. The guitar stayed tha same for too much of the song, and the saying everything tiwce was kind of corny, although the small range of guitar i did hear i liked. Keep practicing.

Hehe, I know how frustrating poor recordings can be, but I dug the song. I'd like to hear bass and drums behind it and a nice solo between the second and third chorus. Nice!

well I tried to listen , but it it kept fucking up my computer, maybe its just me but is that file ok??????
Anyway , I listened to it, while staring at a error box , and my mediaplayer shut down but I did hear it.
I will offer one peice of advice, if you dont mind......
I KNOW that you can sing louder then that! , you sound like me when I am nervous about singing, it sounds like you are not pushings all out all the air you can.
Really gulp some air before each line and give er. (you sounds nervous, just let your voice out man....good luck) Psilo

Hey man, what are you using to record? The song was pretty cool for what you are going for, but I'm pretty sure you should be able to get at least somewhat better quality on the recording....
I guess the microphone isn't that great. hehe. And do you have a direct input for your guitar? If you can get it so that you are getting a decent sound going into your computer, you should be able to really make it fucking sound excellent with a good program.
I'm delving into Cool Edit and shit (holy shit, that reminds me, I need to fuck with one of our songs right now! ), and there are a hell of a lot of things towards mastering you can do.. filters and 30 band EQ's and all sorts of crazy ass shit..
And always make sure you never get the signal too hot. If it starts cutting into the red, you are fucked.
But the song itself was pretty sweet. Not my thing, but sweet stuff nontheless. Peace.

i liked it, but you think you can let the vocals shine through a bit more next time you record something? i am really interested in hearing some more of your stuff... luck with making music, though youre talented enough that you dont need it...
keep up the good work, man.
