Indeed. Did you guys know that Carl Jung built a tower with a large copper antenna of sorts running up the middle that channeled some sort of energy down into an actual alchemical laboratory in his basement? True story.

Why...yes...I did. Yeah, that's the ticket. Here is a secret picture bequeathed to me by the late Dr. Jung, conferring with the late Baron Frankenstein over the details of the tower. Assistant Ygor stands by for instructions. Now don't spread this around. Shhhh. It's a secret, Heh, Heh, Heh! :hehehe:

:cheers:To MarkostheGnostic:

"The confusion of symbolic elements with physical elements continues to the present day"

This is a comment with sub-implication, concerning itself with the very frontier at which the alchemist lives and functions. What is the ultimate goal other than to cause fusion without confusion? Where can a symbol originate and thrive other than from some tissue which is its cloak and umbilicus? Clearly, the vice-versa is equally true, the architect and his blueprint- I for one have seen the fundamental trinity to conspire in this role, as each aspect bears each of the others within its nature.

I can extract volatile aspects of numerous metals from a plant salt, and crystalline body from the volatile oil. Similarly, tissue within my bones carries the impulses of consciousness, and I can orchestrate permanent physical change from within my dream-practice.

'That which is below is as that which is above, and that which is above is as that which is below, to perform the miracles of the one thing.'

Certainly one can extract the salt of the mercury of the sulfur, & on ad infinitum, as is the terrain of the alchemist to discover, it is implied in this mighty maxim, however, that it is the task of the justice of nature to moderate and instruct in regards to that which actually bears any relevance. Much time is wasted before we can perceive those diamonds in the rough, which are favored by nature. & this is meant symbolically as much as physically.

Correlation can only be limited by the whim and indoctrination of an individual. As much as gold symbolizes the incorruptible body, so the tincture of gold renders my nervous system less prone to corruption.

"the alchemist's actually 'charges' his elixirs or stones with his own psyche, thereby imparting something of his own consciousness to matter."

Does this not apply to any creative task and the wisdom of its practitioner? Although the alchemist is indeed concerned with this vibraturgy writ large.

_________________________________________________

We live in a strange time for alchemy... & perhaps this has always been the case as this territory skirts the realms of the incomprehensible. Most modern 'western alchemy' is thoroughly bathed in and proxied to an 'asian' battery. Those of us who strive to recover our trashed European heritage often find that the 'European alchemists' despise alchemy or at best regard it as a philosophical accompaniment to 'modern science'. I am not even certain of the value of the term alchemy itself, other than those ways in which it fosters communication. For as many 'alchemists' as you can ask to define the practice, you will receive as many different answers. The best common ground to be reached is that alchemy is concerned with the "raising of vibrations" - R. Bartlett/F. Albertus, & transformation.

Paracelsus is certainly the link between what is truly 'western-alchemy' and what is now modern alchemy, the most authentic and intact systems of which are Spagyrics and Ayurveda. Truly, however, the tribal 'shamanisms', animism, vitalism and chemistries of our forebears are the major threads that are braided into the rope of alchemy. Aspects of the puzzle still thrive in Italy & the Mediterranean region, southern Poland, Russia & the 'Baltic' countries & on. I strongly value the Himalayan basma practitioner sources for maintaining one of the only accurate lineages of metallic and mineral alchemy. As always, the task is to the taker for reassembly of the pieces.

I am personally a practitioner well over a teller of history, although I am a devoted interpretor of history. This common role partially explains the thorough deficit in accurate written information containing the practical aspects of physical alchemy. One can find a massive load written on 'philosophical alchemy' or fantasy-alchemy, because philosophers are far more likely to write a book :holyshit:. Most modern authors are not only lacking any knowledge of physical alchemy, but also lacking in the knowledge of mystical alchemy (as differentiated from the common philosophical alchemy). There are a handful of exceptions, 80% of which write on Spagyrics and Ayurveda, as opposed to the larger 'alchemy'.

The most relevant advice is to patiently yet relentlessly pursue the great 'book' of nature.

http://www.realitysandwich.com/beginning_birth_psychedelic_cultur; > I thought this was well-written, and reminded me to inject a little humor in the small book that I am struggling to write. However, I am Constitutionally more like Aldous Huxley than Kesey or Leary, and I take my Psychedelic Sacraments more seriously [i.e., 'reverently'] than most.

My study partner and I have been looking into the ever burning lamps of Antioch and other such mysteries...  that link has some good reading

The idea that light could come from something other than G.E. is blasphemous to capitalism, I love it!!  Blasphemy is a science/art in and of itself...  dont ask how I know, the lessons are not always accessible but the knowledge is there and the glaring truth stares us down from less than a millimeter beyond the veil.... God help us.
